I love that I am not the only one who has their hubby cut their hair (especially during lockdown). We were laughing so hard at how bad it was, we couldn’t even finish. It ended up being a fun memory and my hair has since grown back out. I think you look adorable - you can rock anything with your confidence!

My husband is 68 yrs old and has been cutting my hair for several years. He only trims the bottom with a straight cut about two inches. Sometimes it's a tad uneven but I can easily adjust it and really who cares, messy uneven isn't a bad style and even deliberate many times.

Even before your very first cut, I said to myself she should remove that sweater. Her hair will stick to it so badly. I want my hubby to give me a quick straight-line trim but I am a bit nervous. i forgot to tell you in my last comment, but I am a potter, I have my own studio and all the equipment, I'm a hobby potter, so I just pot for fun :) I will have a look at your tutors site, but I would highly recommend a girl called Jessica Puttnam Phillips who has a you tube channel and also does live tutorials on a Wednesday at 5pm New York time come and watch with us, its great fun you would love Jess x x

As the child of a stylist, and a beauty school dropout who still cuts hair anyway, lol, this made me so nervous. Please at least wet your hair next time to straighten your waves, do sections, and even your sides by cutting front over the face and work to the back. There are lots of other steps and tips, but at least that will help you much more. But you tube has some great videos for home cuts.

I agree with you 100%. Watch a few KZbin video tutorials, repeatedly to understand the process, get the right tools and supplies and have a plan as well as an understanding of how much you are taking off, and what the desired results are to be, plus take your time, don’t try to rush it. Doing this rather than grab a pair of shears and start hacking will be well worth the time and effort.
