Colleen, I highly recommend getting to the dentist as soon as you can. I used to have perfect teeth and went regularly, but I couldn't go for about two years. By the time I went back, 80% of my teeth had cavities. Unfortunately, because my insurance situation changed, I couldn’t get them all fixed in time, and now I’m facing having most of them removed. Don't wait-take care of it while you can!

I am from Tennessee, please keep everyone affected by the 🌀 hurricanes it has hit bad here as well as other places .we just got power in after 5 days. But there are MANY missing people still in our area as well as many people who have lost their loved ones. So sad. Many without electricity, water or phone service. 😢

Sonic has the best drinks. They have the pebble kind of ice that Colleen LOVES. Pebble ice just makes a drink taste better. Even if you finish your drink, the ice is flavored with whatever you are drinking.

Listening as a 50 year old woman wearing traditional braces since Feb 4th, 2020. I wear my rubber bands and do everything they tell me to do RELIGIOUSLY. We had a global PANDEMIC that started and ended quicker than these braces. I've gone every 2 WEEKS since February. I hope to have them off before I can draw social security! 😂😂

There are several different romcom tropes, not just enemies to lovers which Colleen described. There is Grumpy/Sunshine, Forbidden Love, Friends to Lovers, Forced Proximity, Fake Dating, Brother's Best Friend, Age Gap.... the list is endless. They are not all enemies to lovers. The key to romance novels (and romantic comedies) is they end out with HEA (Happily Ever After).

Dental assistant here with Invisalign story!! 👋🏻 My husband has Invisalign and is finishing them up soon. Two months ago he was complaining of a strange discomfort in one area. This is strange for him because he is the best dental patient. Flosses EVERY DAY and impeccable hygiene…cavity unlikely and it indeed was not a cavity. He got spontaneous root resorption from the invisalign moving his one tooth too fast towards the end of his treatment. Basically, his roots of his one tooth started to dissolve away. He had to have the tooth removed and is opting for an implant in its place (since he can’t fathom missing a tooth) 😅. Figured I’d warn you…don’t skip ahead too often on those trays. The forced movement can cause issues 😬

colleen i feel you are gonna be one of those old ladies that have a crazy fashion style, you clearly have an idea of what you like and what you don’t, how you like to be perceived and i feel that as you grow old you will stop caring so much and eventually start having fun with clothes, i feel you care too much about what’s cool and what’s not, but in fashion everything is cyclical so eventually you’ll be on trend and eventually out, is about just feeling comfortable yourself

My Dr drinks soda during our appointments 😂 and also he was the one who recommended me to have full caffeine and sugar sodas during my migraines. I normally don't like sugar soda because of taste but I have a singular glass of sugar free ginger ale every day of which all my doctors (including my dentist) are aware of and said one a day isn't going to hurt me and it's better than juice.😅 I would recommend seeing a dentist tho... And looking into Ehlers Danlos. Narrow palates are a sign of eds along with lots of other medical symptoms of yours. Knowing you have it could be helpful if your kids show signs of bendy joints, narrow palates, delicate skin, gi issues, fainting, etc. If I had known I had it as a kid I think I'd be in a much better place physically as I wouldn't have let myself be so active without strength training.

I had braces TWICE because the first time they did them when I still had some of my baby teeth!!! Then I had to get them for another year in middle school! By the time I grew out of my retainer, my bottom teeth were messed up again. I gave up after that

Dental assistant here! WEAR YOUR RETAINERS FOR LIFE!! Teeth will always shift!! Cleanings every 6 months are important becuase the dental hygienist is cleaning below your gum line where your tooth brush and floss can’t reach! After each cleaning, it takes 6 months for the biofilm to reproduce again that’s why it’s every six months. As for how cavities are caused: every time you eat you cause an acid attack on your teeth for 20 minutes. That resets with each sip or bite of acid containing foods. It’s better to eat and drink fast. ALSO do not miss babies on the mouth or share food/utensils!! Babies are born without cavity causing bacteria in their mouth, and if you get your spit in their mouth you can introducing this bacteria in their mouth from you having cavities!! This is why a lot of college kids get cavities, they start kissing lots of people and are away from home without going to the dentist all year! Also courses by meds and dry mouth, or just straight up bad brushing habits. Dental professionals will go over home habits with you to help find your cause of cavities.

FLOSS YOUR TEETH and swish coconut oil in your mouth for a bit, it’s called oil pulling i’ve noticed a huge difference in my mouth since i’ve been doing this. wayyyy less mouth pain

I have invisalign, one for the top and one for the bottom. I also have two old retainer cases and I use those for my two invisalign. I put a small piece of a sticky note on each case labled to which invisalign is which so I don’t get them mixed up. Try getting a case for your invisalign so you won’t lose them. I hope this helps. I drink Coke Zero every once in a blue moon. I don’t drink soda very often. I drink water all the time, I only have a bottle of tea, or a soda as a once in a blue moon treat.

Hi Colleen and Erik! I was wondering if you could offer some advice/encouragement. When my baby was 5 days old he had emergency surgery and then spent 9 days in the NICU. Being NICU parents yourselves I was hoping you could offer some insight on how to cope with the trauma of that.
