If he agreed to visitation with no child support, but he isn't visiting, then he's failing on his part of child rearing. Take him back to court. Full child support no visitation.
@MrJpaynebb

Chances are he's not going to pay child support which actually works in her favor. Clearly she's making it without his financial support but it's all about documentation now. Get a child support order and when he doesn't pay or falls behind document it for future court proceedings civil and criminal. Same for these unsolicited nudes he sends. Document and file a police report. He keeps giving OP ammunition to use against him and she should begin to do so. Either he'll step up to be an actual active parent physically, emotionally and financially or he'll finally give up custody and hopefully his rights and go away.

OP’s ex sounds like a raging asshole. And yet, I’m still not sure I’m a fan of OP. Something about leaving her child with her husband, knowing what a mess he was, and not making some sort of plan to keep tabs on him and the baby. Like baby monitors with cameras, or having a family member stop by to help. I don’t think she thought he would be abusive, but she even says she knew that he was no help with their child or their home before she went back to work. And speaking of abusive… there’s something so off about not pressing charges when the doctors found signs of abuse. I get the initial hesitation, if only out of shock, but even through the divorce? When he was trying to get full custody?!?! He abused your baby, OP. Come on! And then there’s the focus of the story being more on her ex and his escapades, and almost nothing on how her child is doing. I guess I just expect people in these stories who are actually beaten down, and know nothing but abuse and neglect in their relationships, to beat themselves up a little more? That sounds bad, but I feel like that’s a thing. She’s not responsible for what he did to their daughter, but she should FEEL responsible. I dunno. It’s hard to explain. It’s probably just missing context, as that’s the most likely explanation. It irks me when I can’t explain things better than, “I’m just getting a vibe,” and yet… that’s exactly what I’m doing.

While no visitation sounds good on paper, requiring him to have supervised visitation is much better. Those that do the "supervising" are mandated reporters and since most parents (those that didn't get railroaded by an unfair system), who are required to have supervised visitation are complete f*ck ups anyway, will screw up, and then it is documented for further need down the line. Plus, for many "parents", supervised visitation is totally humiliating and they usually stop attending which is then documented as well LOL. Plus, once supervised visitation is ordered, it removes the narrative among friends and family that the parent is an actual, good parent and no matter how they spin it, their false narratives are destroyed. At some point, the "father" is going to want to come back into the picture. Having lots and lots of reasons and documented evidence of why that is a really bad plan without jumping thru several major hoops is a good thing and will protect those kids. Given that, I don't think the OP is much of a better parent than the father is. She KNEW he was lazy and irresponsible but yet, still allowed him to take over childcare duties. Then, she doesn't even press charges when the Doctor says abuse happened. WTF??? I think the OP likes her "freedom" a bit too much to be a full-time parent as well. Why was she even married to him when he was such a waster???

That's what I actually commented on the post about the whole thing. It was the agreement for him to not pay child support, but he isn't keeping his end of the deal, so he has to pay up. And if he is ordered to pay child support, then doesn't, that's even more ammo for OP.

Story 2 - Wow this man is so self-absorbed. The way he completely shits on his wife in the edits makes it clear he doesn’t even really love her, maybe he did once but he’s extremely resentful of her family money and that she does something she loves because she wants to, not because she has to. My grandfather was also a surgeon (OB-GYN). He was busy and sleep-deprived a lot, but when he was home, he managed to make time to build relationships with his three children. My mom and her siblings knew he was busy, but he was also fully present with his kids when he was home with them. He did tea parties with my mom and her sister, ate whatever strange concoction my uncle cooked up for him (my uncle is now a chef), and answered all of their medical questions. Not once did he develop a superiority complex about his job. _Massive_ skill issue from husband #2.

@@JK-sh8rc The original story is a prime example of what I always say on here and on other channels about many of the OPs. They spin their story to make themselves either "the victim" or "the wronged hero". Granted, the OP was too much of a douche to make himself into either one of those, but if you tried to picture their life and home in the original story you surely didn't believe they lived in a 7 bedroom mansion LOL. More like a SMALL 2 bedroom rambler with a finished basement LOL. People give the OPs too much credit in their stories and if the OP in this story wasn't such an arrogant Douche and written his story just a little bit differently, people would have a completely different take on the OP and his situation. We normally don't get to hear "the other side" but in this story, WE DID and it proved the OP was even a bigger douche than we thought LOL. I am hereby VINDICATED when I point out stories that are very sus and how I believe the OP isn't giving us the full truth or is lying, which is often a very unpopular belief, but if people look at those stories with logic rather than just "feelings" and emotions, they will see that I was right.

Med Schools want confident Doctors but they end up with some, mainly Surgeons, being full-throttle arrogant A-holes. It's for a similar reason that people say not to marry police officers. Obviously not all of them are bad but the professions tend to attract self important narcissistic people. They're both jobs with power over people where you can get praised for saving lives. But you don't actually need to be a good person or respect people to get those jobs. You just need to pass a test or physical, train for a bit, and pretend. Issues with police brutality and misconduct have always been a big problem and hospital regulations are so strict now specifically because people would get into the job and not care about how they treated their patients, or worse, they'd try to harm them intentionally because they got a rush from knowing someone else's life was in their hands.

@@untitled-gv3qp I agree, but male police officers tend to abuse their wives. For some reason, police officers tend to have a short fuse and become angry very quickly. This is not a good thing for a marriage.

Not all the way through the vid yet, but story 2 resonates with me a bit. I was very close to my maternal grandma, I spent a very large chunk of my childhood at her place (random weekends during the school year, most times when I was sick, nearly every summer break). That changed when her health took a nosedive and she ended up moving in with her eldest daughter. My aunt still lived in the same state, but on the other side of it a good 6-7 hours away. I rarely saw my grandma after that and when I did, her decline was extremely jarring since she had dementia. I did get lucky that even towards the end she always recognized me, and when I wasn't around she still asked about me. The OP would be hurting his kids if he forced the issue and made his wife's father move across the country, especially if they are as close with him as the story seems to indicate. Good grandparents are hard to come by, and as grandkids we usually don't get a lot of time with them. I lost my gran when I was 13. My niece is lucky that my dad (her grandpa) is still around and will hopefully be around for another decade or two to see her grow into an adult and have kids of her own. After finishing the rest of the vid: Holy crap...That took a turn, though I shouldn't be surprised. The guy sounds absolutely unhinged, especially with his first comments about his wife being a spoiled princess and not contributing to humanity and "saving lives". Glad the wife is dropping his butt!

whoever drew you for the beginning of the video did a really good job, looks very lifelike 👍 Its super touching when you think about how OP' wife is not only getting a chance to have time with her dad that was taken from her in her childhood, but her kids are also an opportunity for her dad to help raise kids; something that was taken from him by his ex-wife. OP really thi ks he can get in the way of literal trauma healing. What a fool.

So OP talked about pressing charges for neglect, yet in her next update he has visitation rights?? What happened to the charges?? Also if I were OP, I'd send his eighteen year old child girlfriend the link to her reddit post. If he neglects his first child, he will neglect the second. Don't let this man ruin the life of someone who has zero life experience to navigate the situation.

Story 2- The fact that the husband's edit/update consisted of insulting his own wife was such a red flag. On top of that, the fact that he doesn't give a flying shit about his kids unless it somehow benefits him verbally while his FIL actually cares about those girls, which for some reason the husband gets jealous over makes me feel like he wanted to isolate his wife away from her support system, but that's probably just how I read it
@PonderingStudent
@PonderingStudent 9 ай бұрын
No, I think you're right. The fact that he's annoyed she works even though, as he puts it, they could afford to live on *his* wages, is also a red flag. If he'd had his way, the wife would have been a SAHM (so no financial independence) with no local family support. Perfect conditions for establishing a controlling relationship. He didn't want a wife - he wanted a possession. She was an accessory he thought he ought to have, there to stroke his ego and make him look good to his colleagues. He couldn't deal with the realisation that she was a person, with her own desires and plans, or the knowledge that he couldn't control her.

Jeeze. My grandfather built a two story house for my grandmother and him when they first married. He *hated* grandma's brother, but he knew the siblings were close so when he needed a place to stay a few years after the wedding grandpa converted the top floor into an apartment for him and let him live there the rest of their lives. It's a hell of a bar, but I think of it every time I hear a story like this of someone refusing to let a family member move in because they'd lose their 'relaxation space'.

As a parent of three small children, story #1 terrifies me. A baby cannot talk and tell mum how they are feeling. I cannot imagine the panic and hurt a young child would go through not being taken care of. The neighbour deserves the biggest thank you. Also, mum you better press charges towards your ex husband. Ensure he will face the consequences of his behaviour. Your child could have very clearly had health issues because of this neglect. OP sounds not like the best parent out there, as noone I know would just shrug their shoulders after a doctor determined their child showed signs of neglect. Disgusting all around

Story 1: Holy f--- That poor baby, I'm glad OP put a stop to the situation and went straight to divorce here - neglect/abuse of your kid is an unforgivable action you can't come back from, imo. Don't subject your kids to neglect/abuse just because you want to stay married. Story 2: What a roller coaster. Go get that divorce, lady, STB-Ex is just dragging your family down. Kudos to Grandpa for being an excellent dude. And Markee, happy to see you looking well and happy! Been a long minute, eh?
