I once saw a successful cake prank in my BIL's wedding. The cake was cut and the newlyweds had a slice on their plate. THEN the gloom, the goofball of the family, scooped up some cream on his finger, playfully and lovingly put it on the bride's nose. The bride feigned anger and did the same thing, very gently, on the gloom's nose. Everyone laughed and awwww'd. Happily ever after. More importantly, we all had cake. WHY RUIN AN OTHERWISE PERFECT CAKE FFS.🤬
@cmlemmus4949 ай бұрын
It's also equal, similar to what was popular a few generations ago of the new couple feeding each other the cake. Unlike cake smashing which is typically unequal with one person, usually the man, smashing the other. That's a dominant position. I wonder how many of these idiots would still do it if they knew the tradition dates to ancient Rome where it symbolised male dominance and female fertility. I'm thinking probably more than we'd like to admit would do it anyway.

The best revenge would be for the bride in the first story to file assault charges. My brother was in the military and one of the guys in his unit pushed a bride into the cake as a prank (it had been arranged by the groom). The bride not only broke up with hubby right there but by the time it was over both the groom and his buddy were charged with assault. Because it happened on a military base both men were court marshaled and kicked out of the Marine Corp.

All of this shouldn't have happened for him to be a better person, but its clear that she was the reason why the relationship fell apart; because she was seeing Steve and therefore wasn't paying much attention to him, which then caused him to seek intimacy somewhere else. Story 2: Having been cheated on several times in my 22 year marriage to my ex, I can tell you that the trust will never come back 100%. That said, the wife is going beyond mistrust. She is controlling and I won't say she is a narcissist but she is showing some tendencies. She is controlling op to the point of abuse. And making excuses to stop going to the counselor while blaming op or the therapist or anyone other than herself is also a narcissist trait. So is withholding sex if she is consciously doing that (not being in the mood is not withholding but she may have physical or mental problems causing that since it is prolonged). I hope she isn't a narcissist.

Listening to story 2, and just wow. OP is practically a saint compared to her. Like both are guilty of cheating, but she tormented him for 3 years wanted the therapist to agree that he needed more torment, and only felt guilty after getting caught. As well as her not closing the account she used for the affair, and basically confirming that OP's original rationalization for his affair was because she was already having one. It kinda reminds me of the "My wife had an affair 3 years ago but I don't want to stay married" story. Where the OP's wife had cheated, admitted to said affair without prompting, showed she was 'remorseful' and after like 3 years she started to behave like before she confessed her sin, and OP wanted to leave. Because what the wife basically did was love bomb him, which made him feel guilty at the thought of leaving, at least until she stopped showering him in constant affection and attention. Like if this had gone the same way, Story 2's wife would have probably left at the end, but instead she dropped the bar so much lower then I could have imagined.

She engineered all of that. He’s only responsible for cheating. She forgave him, and became a warden over his life while he improved and overcame his flaws. He gave her the same courtesy and SHE COULD NOT and leaving the email account open after agreeing to shut it down prove that she had know desire to. I feel like cake smashing and gender reveals are similar in how they started out as some thing sweet and cute but then assholes escalated it to something awful. I'm not certain but I think cake smashing evolved from the tradition of feeding each other a slice of the wedding cake. Someone does a boop oh got a bit of frosting on your nose then it went to smashing the cake slice into each other's face and now it's this.

Yeah, I swear cake-smashing started as "Smush a tiny bit of icing on the bride's face for luck" (And most couples would take that as putting a little bit of icing on each others nose, providing an adorable photo op.) But some AH's have just taken it as an excuse to straight up assault their partner under the guise of tradition.

All that ridiculous behaviour in the media normalised the trashy face-smashing idiocy that morons have escalated into assaulting people by forcing their faces / bodies into the whole cake. Yuck.

I'm that time the couple where engaged for 16 of them because the boyfriend like things exactly as they where when he turned 18 and didn't want anything to change. He worked for his Dad in construction doing only physical work, collected tons of hunting rifles, lived in a shoe box of a trailer and wandered around the woods like he was king of the mountain. He went so far as to build a House for her in the next Plot over, but had no intention of moving in with her, this proved to be the final straw. He built a brand new house for his supposed future wife, but planned to stay in his tiny trailer by himself.

8 years, no marriage story: It sounds very much like the fiancé has a "If it's not important to me, then it shouldn't be important to you" mentality, which is not good in a marriage. It's too bad OP didn't recognize this sooner, like 4 years ago. She needs to leave now, or she will be miserable fighting him, or him diminishing her needs, over and over and over again because he just doesn't care that something is important to her. If he has mental issues, and has been working on them, there doesn't seem to be much improvement. We teach others how to treat us. She's never given him any reason to work hard to acknowledge what is important to her because he knows she'll just be there every time he puts her off. I don't know at what point he told her that she too dependent on her parents and he's not close to his family so she shouldn't be close to hers, but both of those were major red flags that would have had me packing up and walking out.

Before the update, this was honestly one of the only stories where I was actually on the cheaters side, and the reasons why just kept becoming clearer and clearer, how dare she waste this mans time and life, I'm so glad Op opened his eyes and left her ass. If this story can teach people anything, it's how important dating multiple people and gaining experience is before you settle down with your forever person, marriages that are based on people who haven't had any other partners or very litte, almost never last, one or both will always wonder what else is out there, and you'll never know unless you experience life, only then can you really appreciate "the one" when you find them.

Like, have you met people? The least shocking thing about that story is her asking out the brother who stood up for her after years of being with a dude who disregarded her & disrespected her in front of a room full of all her closest family, friends & maybe even co-workers. The comparison of that kind of man & the one she had would be intense & obvious. Getting the brother to say yes would have been heady for someone so adrift in that moment. To be sure, it would have been a disastrous thing to do had he agreed but I'm totally not surprised she was interested in experiencing that kind of partner in that moment. Not shocking in the slightest. Idk if this story happened or not & neither does anyone else who isn't the op or those involved but the "evidence" you have isn't the smoking gun you seem to believe it is imo.

You the husband? I have a Reddit account too that I made in 2018, and didn’t become active until 2023. I made it cuz I was tired of the “this is NSFW, make an account to view”.

Story 1: My anger issues and ptsd from being bullied could never, the guy might have been in a casket for a funeral after the wedding, me in jail, if someone pulled the crap on me, wouldn't be a happy ending, sorry if that sounds unhinged

Cake Smash: NTA. I'm glad OP got away from that horrible guy. I'm sure this was going to happen as soon as he got involved. A "prank" cost him his ex wife. He'll never learn Reformed Cheater: If I proved I was reformed only to have that in my face...I'm done! How could she do this while having her own affair BEFORE I even stepped out. There is no coming back from that 8 year engagement: He's not going to marry you and takes her for granted. He's an asshole and I'm glad he was dumped. Middle School Boyfriend: NTA.Alicia is a complete asshole. You didn't date for yeeears, weren't engaged, nothing. Alicia's married and apparently wishes for a life w her now BIL. Of COURSE Alicia and Chris were having problems. Chris, Sis's husband is a complete asshole for playing on his wife's insecurity. He definitely cheated. I hope there's. A BORU where Alicia leaves that barfbag of a husband

😮So, the husband in story 2, was out of town alot because of work. Translation: he wasn't there to help, even a little with the kids, the house, the food shopping, drs appointments, laundry, etc. And preferred that, instead of trying to find a job that would have him home nights. He also played alot of online video games. Translation: even when he IS home, he's playing video games with randos instead of helping with the kids or the house chores. Hmmm🤔 Wonder why the wife wouldn't want to be intimate with a partner who isn't there to help with the family THEY MADE together. Then he cheats because he's ruled by a 2in piece of skin between his legs, instead of talking to his wife about things, like, her flucuating hormones from 2 births, the stress physically and mentally of being the full time caregiver and literal provider of food every 4 hours, for those 2 kids, if breast feeding and/or pumping, and the physical pain of having a human exit through a small body opening or being cut open to remove that human. Or the resentment the wife feels because he looks for escape instead of being present to help with HIS kids. "He came clean about the affair." AFTER HE GOT CAUGHT. That doesn't make him a good guy. Smh. He feels he's been punished enough. Well, of course he does! Did she also basically make him cheat because she's not interested in sex because of dealing with 2 children all day and night and I'm sure, lost alot of love and respect for him because he chose to hook up with another woman outside their marriage. But only 6 times, so it's cool, right? WHAT?! She should've divorced him. Then he can keep up his regular habits of not being around during the work week, playing video games instead of being a husband and father, having as much sex as he wants since that's the main problem and most important issue for him. He'll only have to be a caregiver 2 days a week. Wait until he realizes how much work and selflessness is required for THAT job! Lol If it sounds like I've been there, done that, it's because I have. Except that my story also includes a child with major special-needs.

Missed the part about where she cheated the entire time huh?
@jikook74576 ай бұрын
@@BornagainvillainI rewatched the 2nd story because my comment was posted 3 months ago. Where did u come up with her cheating? There was NOTHING from op about that at all. Smh Counting to 3 or 4 on these story videos might be tricky for u so maybe use ur fingers to count the number of stories so u"ll be able to respond with facts, not create them. ✌️

Me: hearing Markee talk about gender reveal forest fires This is why I downright refused any suggestion other than just frosting on a cake for my baby's gender reveal. Even balloons were a no because you have to clean up after. At least with a cake you can eat it.

3 - You're trying to compromise when he doesn't want to. This is a bad sign. Whatever hang-up he has about marriage, he needs to be honest about it. It's okay to not want the big fanfare of a wedding, but he doesn't want to do ANYTHING. This is a sign of things to come. I abandoned an engagement after years of an ex dodging the scenario. You can't wait around forever for it. Happily married now to someone else. Don't show up for someone who never shows up for you.

I got married in NJ. .DURING the reception the minister said he was leaving abd we needed to sign the license again. We signed, then he signed, and he gave it to us to file. So glad my mother loved my ex, as we had to return to Greece, and mom filed it for us. LICENSE NOT SIGNED AGAIN AND FILED. NOT A LEGAL MARRIAGE

Story 3, it sounds like her boyfriend of 8 years doesn't actually care about getting married and doesn't want to get married but is doing it to appease her and compromise. Sounds like he's putting his foot down about any 'party or ceremony' because he's giving her the important part which is the marriage. Look, some people simply don't want or care about marriage, that doesn't mean they don't want long-term relationships. I was married after a huge expensive wedding and got divorced after 9 months because he was a creep and bringing me down. My current partner doesn't 'believe' in marriage and we've been together for 11 years and 2 small children. And no it's not about 'not wanting to lose or share his money' because I have a quite large inheritance that he doesn't give a fig about. My point is, decide which is more important either the ceremony or the partner. I think a 'legal only' marriage is still a huge commitment. Also, I absolutely love the long videos with only a few longer stories with updates. Also, I just heard the rest of the last story that guy is just a d-bag.
@troubleinthevalley58849 ай бұрын
I'm sorry but the fact that you even felt you still had to remind him not to do something that you already adamantly told him you did not want shows that you didn't really trust him to begin with and you guys were in no position to be getting married in the first place.
@RedCeltay9 ай бұрын
Annulments can also be issued for the wedding not being consummated. This would fit under that part. Also if you dont register the wedding certificate within a certain amt of time. Its not legal. At least its like that where I live.
