Thank you for sharing, I was crying remembering the pain. I went through this painful process and was dragged through a divorce for 2 yrs until his affair partner finally got him to sign. Even though it's been 4yrs that my husband left after 25yrs i can say I will never forget that pain . God is so good that He gave me the strength.

Him leaving like that for that long is spousal abandonment/desertion which is taken very seriously in divorce court. I'm sure he was clueless what he would have been in for had he done that. Thank you for sharing your story, it's like our hearts shatter into dust when we're blindsided and have no answers, not even the most basic ones. I just finished up a therapy where I experienced what they call "ego death" or "ego dissolution." It's so hard, but when you said "I'm good" at mediation when he was saying those things, that was so brave to go with it even though it was tempting to share your side. You're a brave woman, an iron fist in a velvet glove. ❤

This gives me hope. I’ve been so hopeless lately… I’ve been in hell since November 2023… and I don’t know if my husband will leave me or stay. He seems to keep making excuses and I sense his ambivalence… I’m just so sad because he’s having an emotional affair and it just goes on and on and on 😢 please god help me

He told me that he wants a divorce and it’s all he talks about. He shows absolutely no affection for me at all, he’s told all his friends and family too but it still just lingers on and on and on. Everything hurts. Everything.

Ashwagandha is amazing, I take a supplement in capsule form and it's great for rest and anxiety and a bazillion other things. My friend who is all into herbal stuff gave me some to try, I was like "ok..." best sleep and next day I didn't have that tight belt feeling around my chest, racing heart and tears behind my eyes. I'm so glad the tea she had gave her some relief. It's a tough thing to go through. It really is.

Lost it when she was describing the pits of despair. I'm having *some* better days now, but, overall, I am still in the pits of despair as he told me last week that he wants to divorce. This is less than two months after finding out about his affair and three weeks of him coming home and "trying" to reconcile, which was an absolute disaster. We are still communicating, but he says he is much happier being at his dad's and seems set on divorcing.

I know that this is an older broadcast, but I had a question because I am going through the same thing right now. I am 55 years old and married for 28 years, our anniversary is this Sunday. We have three beautiful, sweet, smart and hardworking daughters ages 27, 23 and 19. My husband just moved out last Sunday. I do not know for sure if there is infidelity, but he does exhibit some strange behavior. My question is (I hope that it is okay to ask because it is a personal question) was your husband faithful to you throughout your marriage and separation? I want to save my marriage desperately, but if my husband has a mistress I strongly feel that that is a dealbreaker for me. It’s in God’s hands. Of course I did not watch the last 7 minutes when I wrote my comment. If I did, I would not have asked. Thank you SO MUCH for sharing a WONDERFUL heartfelt story. My husband just walked out and i told me ,he said i want to do anything anymore . I just want to stay home which i dont . He has been gone nearly three months. I just dont think we are coming bank from this . We were very loving hand holding , kissing saying we love each other. But nothing anymore. I dont think he will come back .
