I have an ivory necklace that I inherited from my grandmother. I have to admit, it’s hard for me to wear since I always think of the elephant that must have been killed for its tusk. It’s hard to comprehend the thinking of those times when they destroyed these beautiful animals. I’ll pass the necklace along to the next generation. I just hope all of these endangered animals are thriving in the wild when that day comes. Will do my bit to help make that happen.
@Fuzzybudget3 жыл бұрын
Might have been obtained legally. Same goes with the ivory necklace and earrings my mother gave me and the carving of a horse. Could have come from whale or seal ivory. Could have been elephant or something else. It broke my heart when they burned all that ivory, I believe in New York. What a waste - and doing that just drove the price through the roof - and made it more likely to be poached.

There are numerous places that have to manage the elephant population, generating ivory. There are some incredible ivory pieces out there, the jaguar fur is part of history and looking after it is a necessity and a reminder that history isn’t always pretty.

So the tent is ordered and now looking at wood-burning stoves. Which one would you recommend? The tent I ordered is a WhiteDuck 4 season. cant wait. My plan is to split my time between Kentucky and Colo. Spending the winter in Colo, because I love the winters. (born and raised in Chicago) Thanks again for all your great videos.
