I have a doubt, I have heard from people saying they got a qs from immigration officer asking do you carry any food and they replied no but they all carried in their cabin luggage so should we lie to them?, or we shouldn't carry only in check in luggage? Or is there any restricted food item not to be carried?

You can carry the food but not all the items are included . Even you should not carry in cabin luggage too
