this was such a good review 100% agree but dining hall is above average for college food from what I've heard. the tufts community is totally the best part tho like its unlike any other and gonna miss it so much. like everyone here is so so smart and genuinely passionate about things and its just so fun to get to know people

I graduated in 2019 and searched tufts on youtube just to see what people are saying about it lol... I agree with this video. I think its important to be in a club or team at tufts. I guess that's true for any school, but I can see how it would be really isolating, even depressing honestly compared to a big public university if you're not part of some kind of group. I disagree about Boston tho. Boston is a cool city and I would go into it pretty regularly to explore and do stuff.

though i will say i personally think tufts campus is beautiful, some building interiors are just old. its nice having an actual campus compared to other schools in boston

I'm a high school senior with 3 days left to pick between committing tufts and rutgers. To attend tufts I would have to take out ~$160k in loans, whereas rutgers I'd be debt free. I'm also just like you because I'm majoring in CS (and a double major in Quant Econ) and want to go into industry immediately after undergrad. Do you think tufts is worth that much money? Will there be a positive ROI/is this worth the investment? I visited tufts and really really loved it; if cost wasn't an issue I would 110% be committed. I feel like if I went to rutgers I would be significantly more miserable. but this may be first time impression bias, and just a lack of knowledge. and if possible, I can leave my email here too and I would love to be able to ask you some more questions!

I can’t say for sure what your personal experience would be at either school, esp since I don’t know anything about Rutgers. All I can speak on is my experience at Tufts specifically, which is obv highlighted in the video. As for whether it would be worth the investment, that depends on your ability to get a high-paying job/internships. Tufts isn’t well-known for CS or Econ, but is rather well known among recruiters so that could help with resume screening. But the rest is up to you and how much time and energy you dedicate to the interview process-something that won’t change based on the school you go to. If you feel like you have that sort of drive, then go for Tufts, knowing you will have to work hard to pay off your loans in the future. Otherwise, play it safe, don’t stress yourself out, and go with Rutgers; and make it as special as you can. (I suppose you could always transfer if you hate it too lol.) either way, it is what you make of it. Good luck!
