you might friend have been scammed. The original screen (from warthog project) was the SimPit Avenger PRO with the real ambient light rejection surface made here in NZ. That's why your image looks so washed out and why you have the band in the middle (the paints are scam). If you have bought the original product you would have had better product for far less ;-). @@chronicle8080Go cheap like me. i got 3TV's cheap and use them, thrustmaster m16000 and farmstick, razer tarturous pro, and a cheap tablet for gameglass. took a bunch of scrap wood and screwed them to the chair. Also got 3 VR headsets though so the TV's might be coming down. the quest 3 is enough to replace them.

Next step would require you build a tilt platform and subwoofers that interface with your chair. That way when you’re turning your cockpit tilts and when you get hit your chair vibrates.

well, you might be inclined to think that Star Citizen sucks based on its kind of ridiculous development timeline 🥲 but there's no denying that this SETUP is amazing and he can use this rig to enjoy other games beyond SC itself. I had a setup like this about 14 years ago with the 180 degree curved projection screen, it was awesome. Now though it's VR all the way... just for practical purposes. Can't beat it!

Amazing overview of what you’ve created! I plan on officially building my cockpit this summer and using yours and Warthog Project ideas as good guides. Have you finished making panels for SC and have you made any specific for DCS? My cockpit will be a multi-ship/multi-game combining various aspects of the F-16, A-10, F/A-18, and Eclipse. The goal isn’t to make a final cockpit, but evolve aspects as my interests develop and SC incorporates more inputs into their game.

Sounds like an interesting project! I'm actually not going forward with this cockpit, but start building OpenHornet cockpit next. At least the frame, and then modify it into modular setup. This way I could continue building nearly 1:1 Hornet cockpit but still make it modular.

You can maybe add a gyroscopic gun to the setup? When going on foot, slide out the chair, and pick up the gun. Maybe you can use some mapping software to map the mouse and keyboard movements to gyroscopic gun or even your tobii headtracking.
