It is good to see that the kid has got a chance in his dream college but I have to say that the statement he made 'College would have been open for everyone hence the ranking would be the same' is necessarily not true. As every college in India has different timings, different attendance rules and definitely the pressure from college in offline mode is strongly different from online mode. I am not saying that he did not work hard, but the ranking need not necessarily be the same if colleges were offline as for a good student, may be the college is an hour away, for another student who needs improvement , it is only 15 minutes away therefore the latter has an advantage and might have a higher chance. Also, not studying for college was a leverage to the students who had their last year in online mode even if they do not agree with it because multitasking is not a cup of tea for even the best brains in the world. I am not against this student or his views but these points need to be remembered. It was only till the year 2019 and from this year 2023, one can assess who really gets in and who does not as studying for college is of course mandatory. The pandemic time was an exception. It cannot and will not happen everytime. Anyways, my best wishes
