This hour tour remind me my family at Atlanta Georgia. I am Asian Americans. My parents have house rules. We not allow to wear a house in the house. My parent have two shoes racks. One for family and one for guests. Family have sit on floor to eat food. My parents have round table. My parents don’t allow us to eat with 🥄 or 🍴. Either we use our hand or chopsticks 🥢. And elder go first in dining table. And younger kid bring 🍱 in the table.

Any advice for helping my mom not be so upset with me signing or will there never be a right time to have it not hurt her so much?
@lauraC-O8154 жыл бұрын
I can give some advice on this. When our son told us he was joining, I was heart broken. He was very patient and answered all of our questions about why he was joining and what it meant to him. It helped a lot that he took the time to talk it all through with us and make sure we understood how important it was to him. It made us very proud, and over the weeks and months we came to terms with his decision. We saw how hard he worked to get ready both mentally and physically. He graduated from boot camp last month and we could not be more proud. Let your mom know why, let her know you have a plan, and do what it takes to reach your goal. Be patient and supportive of her. Your journey to become a Marine will be a journey for her as well. Try not to be defensive if she is upset and tries to talk you out of it at first. Staying respectful and understanding will help so much. Good luck in your journey, and thank you for the willingness to serve and be part of something bigger than yourself.
