It's too polished to the point that it's like an ad. I don't think its relatable at all. The camera kept moving like crazy. The description of the products were so bland..."good" "great".....like she doesn't use anything she talked about.

woah the comments here, I think what wee meant to say is that the way she describe the products wasn't as informative. She was right the camera angles are shit, it's not professional to do that but the delivery of the makeup look is outstanding, true it might be a bit too polish but it's her channel to make it creative.

I like violette from the way she approach makeup and using techniques that felt comfortable for her. She tested on different lighting and places without the standard green background or music. Or whatever other beauty youtubers do. What I meant was that her cameramen keeps shaking and the angle was a bit unsteady. Of course some people think it's polish that looks like an advertisment but I think thats the way her direction or rather her personality. She has the charms. Your the simpleton that didn't get it, calling me to get away from her channel without double checking what I meant and bashing people's criticism and opinion because what we said that the "Camera keeps moving and the angle is a bit unsteady" I've been in a photo studio everyday and the way the video angle or direction is bad and unprofessional we couldn't see the lighting, her angle of her face or the makeup that could have been focus in a diffrent way AND SHE WORKS IN A HIGH-END EDITORIAL WITH OTHER MAKEUP ARTIST AND PHOTOSHOT, IN WHICH SHE KNEW HOW THE PRODUCTS AND MAKEUP SHOULD LOOK LIKE IN A PHOTOGRAPHY. If you think I'm annoying, sorry to say that's how people are. I just think your literacy is low and your afraid of criticism from people who just wanted to see steady camera angle, that's not harmful comment isn't it.

No, I'm actually subscribed to her channel. Editing exists and almost every beauty guru uses it. It makes people have unrealistic expectations. Wayne Goss made a video about it, Tati uses it. Its a common thing. Not a criticism, just pointing out that it could be editing, so not to put yourselves down too much. Her camera man on the other hand needs Prozac.

Hi Violette, I really want to thank you today! In one of your videos you used a liquid lipstick but smudged it with your fingers and I have been all about this technique since then. Liquid lipstick used to make my face look too harsh and accentuate my skin problems because of the sharp contour. Now I can use my favourite colours and it looks amazing all day. THANK YOU!

Love your channel Violette - you’re such a breath of fresh air when it comes to make up application techniques. I recently discovered that a lot of make up brands use mica in their highlighters that are not ethically sourced. In many cases, they use mica mined by child labourers. I’m just spreading the word, as it’s something I found out only recently myself. Hopefully I can inspire other people to make their own ethical make up purchase decisions. xx
