Thanks for sharing! It is always great to see what issues can arise from a recall.

I learned a lot from this video. I have a 2022 Gladiator Diesel and had the fuel pump repair around 2,500 miles & no issues so far at 14,500 miles. Sorry you had to deal with that. I will follow what you said that AEV recommends on the gearing for 37s when I make the change. Thanks for the video!

Glad you had a good experience. Again, mine could have been way worse.

Saw your post. I purchased a 2021 diesel that had 32,000 miles on it. At 35,000 miles the fuel pump failed and our vehicle had catastrophic damage done to it. The pump failure was before the recall parts were available so we were SOL. With the strike going on at the time and the time the dealership could do the work, it was 6 months without a car. We were very fortunate we weren’t injured or killed when we enlist power going 70 mph. I personally would not buy a diesel Jeep that has not had this part changed out with an open recall. If you think this posting was a nightmare, you haven’t lived!

It's hard to believe that major manufacturer still struggle to do seemingly simple things

What a total drag. Worried about getting my pump done. Still months away before I get one 😳

Bummer on the fuel pump. Hopefully it is all fixed now. Good news you got a drive belt replacement. Also, good thing you checked the connections afterwards.

About to do my HPFP this Saturday. I’ll be looking out for those items you just described before leaving the dealer. I have 4:88 gear on my diesel and runs amazing. Picks up really quick and rpms are low on high no more the 2k rpms. Jeep has 36k miles.
@WolfOverland7 ай бұрын
That is some good feedback. 5.56 v 4.88 ahhhhhhh i don’t think we can go wrong! A comparison video would be cool.

Oh men now I’m gonna have to go check everything you point out here … it took them 10 days for the dealership to replace the pump (clogged line as well ) I do smell some diesel in the cabin a few days after 😒

Sorry. Again. Mine did not leak until a weekend of wheeling. But look up from the bottom of the engine and look for leaks.

I'll never get rid of my 4.0 powered Jeep. Had it for many years with only oil changes and one exhaust manifold and radiator. Easy to work on, diesel-like power curve. Likes to lug along at near idle.

Good call. New tec is nice. My brother had a 1993 Cherokee 2wd with the 4.0 300k miles before the motor locked. Let me tell you he was hard on that jeep!

I have horror stories from dealerships I've dealt with. Its mind numbing to spend the money and not be able to have warranty / basic service done. Seriously want to reach out to Jeep NA because dealership seems to have lost my number.

I’m also running Yukon 456 gears & axles (chromoly) huge difference on the road & when I’m towing my 5000lbs bass boat , had an issue with the gears installation (4WP 🙄) glad I bought the insurance and save me $750 on the replacement 4WP denied any wrong doing of course 😂 so far so good , love my new gears & fuel economy 💪

Gears next week. Fingers crossed. Dana 4.56

@@WolfOverland i wanted to do Dana as well , somehow they were out of stock , and decided to go with Yukon since to match the rear axles (have rcv in the front) break in was a pain took me like 7 days

I run 456 gears and it works great! about 100 rpm higher at 65 mph
@vdub58187 ай бұрын
For my diesel I really would like to swap with a gasser rubi that is regearing just from a cost standpoint. However if I am regearing my axles, 4.56 for sure.
@WolfOverland7 ай бұрын
Thanks. I’ll definitely be doing a video on the gears.

My HPFP is sitting on a shelf at the dealership. Been avoiding getting it done because all the apprentices do the work while the masters play on there phones or BS with the writers. I want to switch dealers but been waiting on parts since November.
