To add on.....If you want to be free of social pressure, gaurd who you follow. You can't follow and live in shadow of a person with no child because our lives, responsibilities and routines are totally different. Wether we like it or not, them saying how happy they are childless will always sting a bit because it looks like you made the worst decision abd they chose freedom and they are better. We end up resenting ourselves because of such statements......All love to single mothrs/women 🎉🎉🎉🎉

You literally touched on so many points that i can relate to but the biggest one is God is my co-parent (this is where I'm at). When I was making the decision of leaving the father of my child I was so scared of walking away because fear of raising a child alone or he's retaliation ey it's something i never thought I'd have to do for myself especially because I prayed for an active present dad and my dream was crushed. However so thankful to God He gave me the courage to leave because back then I was still very focused on how to be a better girlfriend or how to please him than pouring into my son. I am a BETTER mom yooh and i love it, i love the fact that my son gets to see this happy playful version of me than the sad always crying me. God has literally held my hand through it all still a bit bitter or angry towards him but unfortunately i cannot coach him to be a dad. Also started therapy and honestly I'm happy where i am Lol i have so much to say😂😂mara keh thank you for this❤

Lol let me drag you a little about posting kids: it's not about pride or hiding them. This world is literally so dangerous. Plus putting out somethings on the socials makes you more vulnerable sometimes. Haha small story: old highschool mate always posted her kid on IG. She wasn't my friend just same grade. Never met the child. I'm walking in Gateway mall and I literally spot the child. I'm so shocked I even greet her by her name. Mind you I've never met her and mom and I are not friends. That could've easily been a kidnapping situation. I know the world is not all bad but even the bible talks about keeping somethings to yourself. Don't fight me please just sharing a story haha I love your videos. Keep posting ❤❤❤❤

Nothing matures you like having umntana. Thank you for your transparency. You’ve put into words so many things I’ve felt. This journey is really not easy, but it’s so fulfilling.

I share the same sentiments, took my child to stay with me when she was 3yrs old (as a single mom myself) coz i wanted to be there for her on a daily as i was also raised by both my parents. She's 9 now and we're besties ♥

Being a single mom is hard. I had my baby at 39..thought because I am older it will much more easy. She’s the light of my world but it would have been better if the father was consist in parenting. Unfortunately most black men think financially supporting their children is parenting

New subbie here...Whether we have everything or nothing our children really love being around Umama. I feel like it gives them a sense of being protected and loved as long as mommy is home and around every night. They love that. To those who can, lets break this generational altar of not living with our children.😢
