What a journey, Bart! Appreciate getting to learn more about where you've been and how far you've come. An everyday guy, but an inspiring example of what's possible.

Thanks Brett, there's more to the story still to come. I'm glad you are inspired by it. I hope to give even more with future videos. 🫡

Thank you for sharing your story. It’s very inspiring. I’ve been finding it mentally difficult to get out and run lately with friends as I’m a lot slower than them. There is a lot going on in my life at the moment where I feel defeated, and I don’t want to feel defeated in yet another thing right now, so it’s put me off running. Hopefully I will start to enjoy it again soon.

Thanks Lisa, we all go through those times. Just remember your journey is "your journey" and sometimes you need to reset and build your base, then you can add to that later. You just need to do what keeps you positive and adds to your life in small ways. Well done for keeping you mind focused, the wins will come.

Thank you, it's something I am always working on. As we all do, I have struggled over the years to improve my outlook, but I feel like I am in a very good place now and I want to share that. In december I will start posting my daily running wisdom videos to KZbin, so keep an eye out for those, they give a lot more insight into how I process daily life and its ups and downs.

@@limpfootadventures Running has been a great vehicle for change in my life but its really been about the way it has improved my mental fortitude and giving a place for self reflection. It's also been really good to set goals and see improvements cause I'm a big believer in the phrase "Completion creates confidence". I had a look at your channel and I really like your outlook too, "Turning setbacks into comebacks". I'll be checking out more of your videos as you release them.

@BartCampbellBackpackGuy What an incredible phrase-"completion creates confidence." So true! I’ve noticed many people talk about reaching this “place” when doing long-distance running. I used to love running, both on the track and trails, but after watching some of your videos last week, I felt inspired to set myself a new challenge. While I can’t run anymore, I’ve discovered that I can still "run" uphill on steep trails-it’s almost like using a stair climber at the gym. There’s a hill I often walk my dog on, and I’ve decided to use it as my training ground. My plan is to work on improving my time over short distances and see how much progress I can make over the next few months. Thanks for the inspiration!

@@limpfootadventures I'm so glad you felt inspired. You should be proud that you allowed yourself to be in a place "to be inspired". Any progress is GOOD progress, well done on setting new goals, I look forward to seeing that journey.
