Ohio State hardly blitzed if at all vs Oregon in the first game. That’s why they made changes on aggressiveness the following week. Oregon allowed PSU 37 points and a lot of rushing yards. The also scored 45 points while my Buckeyes mustered only 20 points. I have a lot more respect for the Ducks than the first game, they truly are deserving of the #1 ranking. I believe OSU will have to play even better than they did vs Tennessee to beat the Ducks bc Lanning is a great coach. Gonna be a great game, I have belief my Buckeyes can pull out the win.

My early analysis 1. Ohio states offense has the potential to be the best in the nation when clicking. 2. Oregons offensive speed gives any defense match up issues on the perimeter 3. Ohio states defense is well improved since the October showdown and is looking for redemption. 4. Oregons defense has been suspect at times. Penn state rushed for 292 in the B1G championship, and will Howard passed for 300 against Oregon. 5. Whoever makes it out of Pasadena is the national champion.

I can’t remember who on the broadcast said it but they said OSU planned on playing slow throughout the regular season and was the slowest team on offense. They followed that with them wanting to save going fast for the playoffs and if that’s truly the case I find it fascinating. Great show as always!!

30 years later, this season, we rematched Penn State this year from the 94' Rose Bowl, but this time in the 2024 BIG10 Championship game. Now we rematch the Buckeyes this season as well in the Granddaddy, 15 years on from the loss to them in 2009. History has a weird way of repeating itself.

I think Oregon being fully healthy and OSU not on OL makes a difference here. Burch is scary and so is the rest of their DL. I think it will be competitive but Oregon could also runaway with it if they get to Howard. Got to give Oregon the edge here as the safer pick. Hope it's a great game and Day surprises us! Oregon 27- OSU 17

Oregons Achilles has always been playing form behind, and truly not being able to at least “contain” a strong run game. For decades we’ve been able to “score” but we simply can’t play from behind at any point in this game.

Oregon has no trouble coming from behind because their offense is so explosive. They also didn't contain Penn State's run game well, or Boise State's, but they still won. This Oregon team is not those Chip Kelly, Mark Helfrich, or Cristobal teams. This is a Dan Lanning, SEC style team.

Oregon rested EZ 48-24. Heard the narrative, a 1 point win by Oregon due to Ohio state Howard blunder.... NAH.. Oregon had 500 yards of offense, recovered 2 fumbles, Howard was running for his life (without Oregon's top ten NFL rusher Burch even playing), so called experts are wrong, OSU beat TN in cold weather they won't have in Rose Bowl. Oregon's bad coaching and Refs cost them at least 14 points-- so Oregon should have won first game easily by 15.

In the first game, OSU played better overall than Ducks. Ducks left more points off the board than OSU. Ducks were missing their best O lineman and D lineman and a top WR (for most of the game). And the Ducks STILL won. All three will be back and healthy for this game. Couple that with the fact that Ducks have clear advantages at the two most important places, QB and HC, and you have a 35-21 Ducks rematch. And all of the haters can suck it.
