Hey! I'm Christy :) I am a mama of 6 through adoption and birth. We're a colorful family with a variety of ethnicities living in Las Vegas. Welcome to my channel and all the love and chaos that comes with it! My husband and I grew our family through foster care adoptions. I invite you to subscribe to follow our foster to adoption journey and see how I manage my large family.
My ultimate goal is to empower others on their own foster or adoption journeys. It really takes a village and it's so much easier to share the journey. I hope my channel educates, inspires, and helps you connect with others on the same journey.

There is nothing wrong with washing hair in the sink. That is the same thing salons do. It the best situation for everyone involved. I think you are an amazing person for teaching people who aren't used to caring for textured hair. I wish my mother watched your tips before she worked on my hair. That hair steamer seems amazing! I will have to check that out! I'm really tenderheaded and have very dry hair as well.

Porosity is REAL. It took me over a year to realize that my daughter and I have different hair porosity so the protein rich products I use for my highly porous hair were making her hair hard and dry. Now I completely avoid protein and silicone in her hair products and washing with shampoo is a must for opening her cuticles. My hair does not like steam but hers might so thank you for the link to the steamer! All of your children are BEAUTIFUL and the way you care for them is beautiful to witness!

Hi Family, you do know that hair needs to be washed once a week right ? And that you never add any chemicals or heat to black people hair to keep It healthy, long and moisturized, heart dry's out our scalp. You must use moisturized shampoo and conditioner, the steamer will remove moisture from the scalp. It Is not needed. After I shampoo and condition I just put blue magic hair oil in my hair which I have been doing for over forty years. My hair is the same as your daughters hair. I am 61 yrs old and my hair is still long, healthy and strong.
