i really want to try an okuma and this one seems great, but they weigh so much more than other 8000 size reels

All baitfeeder styles do. It's for the extra gearing needed to house the secondary system. But since this is for surf casting to live bait fishing you won't be holding it while fishing unless you're hooked-up. If you're looking for a light yet powerful dependable reel for spin casting at 8K look at the Cedros 8000. Pluggers have been pulling in 150lb tunas to GT's. And it's lighter then most 8k's.

@@ScubaChris Thanks for the reply mate! You make a good point and those are my thoughts also, i just like to pack as like as i can if possible. They're still lighter than the spinfisher llv. And yes i saw the cedros, i wanted to get a 4000 for my surf lure caster. in due time tho!

@@jaimininorath5760 I use my 4K Cedros as my power option over the heavier 4K Blue Azores.

Hi scuba Chris I have a Okuma Coronado CD 90 bait feeder. I would like to know if okuma still make this reel

I think the 80 is the largest they distribute. In terms of shear bulk it's my largest Okuma spinner right now.

Gracias por el video amigo, me gustaría saber si es normal en este carrete un pequeño movimiento en la manija y cuál es la caña de pesca que usaste para este carrete saludos.

Sorry, didn't see your comment or understand the language. If there's play once tighten down it could mean it's not cinched down tightly enough or the reel foot bands aren't thick and/or wide enough. Could be the reel's weight might be too heavy for the rod being used. Without knowing the lengths or strengths & brand/model i have nothing to go on.

Possibol.....shore jigging

No, i wouldn't as i explained above. For spinners i use the Rockaways for shore jigging. Why? Extremely lightweight. Good max drag. Has a line layering system to pack on line. Inexpensive.
