I’ve been a nanny for over 20 years and for almost every child I’ve ever taken care of I’ve put a Christmas tree in their bedrooms decorated to their individuality and every night they go to sleep with the lights on. You made me see the appeal of doing that as an adult. If I had that Christmas tree in my bedroom I would go to sleep with the lights on every night😍

I really love your LR tree. I've never seen one offered with such sparse branches. It's so realistic. 🎄 So Scandinavian. It makes your ornaments be the star ⭐ ✨ they are. My grandmother worked as a maid in the 19teens for a wealthy family in Minneapolis. She taught me the importance of tying one's apron bow properly so it lays flat. (I inherited her maid's apron!) You do it properly, but for anyone wondering, she told me to first begin the bow with the first loop being the underneath ribbon. You know, looking at the simple knot there's one strand of ribbon that looks like a waterfall and the other is underneath. Start with the underneath side. You can't ever mess it up. 😃 I hadn't paid much attention to your bedroom chairs before. I really like them. I've selected a mid-century modern-style couch from Apt2B and am still looking for chairs to fit that vibe. I think yours (while unconventional for this 66 yo lady) might work vs. a fully upholstered chair. You really did a great job on your holiday decorations. Though it's a labor of love for you, isn't it? 😃 Merry Christmas, Drew 💝

Loved it all! I must admit, I have been guilty in the past of making my house look like a Christmas store blew up and the debris landed everywhere! I loved how you managed to make a cohesive look and used a lot of neutral and subtle items (like those plaid blankets). I loved the vintage and international look of those strands of bells, and the table scape was beautiful. Great job! ❤

❤ Curled up in my comfy chair…..with fresh brewed coffee and some generous cuts of fruitcake. Couldn’t ask for a better afternoon brake! Even though you have all the pending excitement of the new house move, this last decorating is a nod of thankfulness too your previous shelter. Those iced trees in the corner against that cinnamon wall is just gorgeous with that epic table and pine centerpiece. Beautiful. I love all you did! You have such an innate sense of style. Its modern and retro at the same time. I love its also all real. I never liked things like tinsel or garland. I think the idea of pieces of great fabric is better than garland. Since I sew a lot I have scraps of unique velvets, even tie dyed ones. We are old but our 70s furniture is making a come back! I also think it was genius to bring the runner rug in to put on top of the other rug. Why only keep runners on tables or in hallways!? Im cleaning like mad to catch up and decorate too! I got behind sewing for our local Christmas Craft this past saturday which got rained out. So routine cleaning never happened this past week. The wind also blew over the two little fake trees we bought to put on our porch even with like 8 heavy rocks on the base! So they are inside and you've inspired me! We havent done a lot of decorating since kids on their own and remodeling/upgrading our retirement purchase for 5 years but I trying to do more.
