Any HSP should have own earplugs. I went from it has an immidiate effect but comes with a cost that if you are unaware one can get runover by cars (too focused). Anything to minimize the stimulies.

You are so beautiful I feel so happy when I see your features there is a connection in my personality😊 I am an HSP and also an INFJ. I suffered a lot in my life and my first childhood journey. Unfortunately, I was severely beaten by the teacher. I was 7 years old. He used the washing machine hoses in the classroom. Generally, I don’t know how much the sensitivity is, but I saved 4 people from death, of course, thanks to God, the last person I was in a police station and heard a report A woman is trying to commit suicide, and it seems that the report did not specify the location. I asked them for a white paper and drew the map. They were surprised and the officer said, “This is not the time for irony. So, intuition came out 100%. She was rescued, and I think they accused me of witchcraft.”🤗🥇

I started crying to the mirror after this video... Kept saying sorry to myself for being so mean for so long time.... always felt something wrong with me. I feel so sad... I've been always told too sensitive and I tried lot of hard work to change everything, to change my self , to fix it. Then suddenly you're telling me there is nothing to change....

So sorry to hear that but thank you for sharing your story, because I think a lot of people will be able to relate. If you want, look at some more videos from me about HSP and if it's possible for you, look into reading Dr Elaine Aron's book called The highly sensitive person. I found it very comforting to read that I was perfectly fine the way I am. And so are you! There is nothing wrong with your sensitive nature, in fact it is a very special gift that you can cherish. No need to change anything about that! Take care my friend

Just reading your post made me cry. Peace and love to you, from a fellow HSP. Embrace your gift, and it IS truly a gift. It's okay, also, to give yourself a hug, and to talk to yourself, too. I know some people might think that sounds funny, but if ANY body would "get" it, I trust that my fellow HSP peeps on here will. Besides, truth be told, I bet a lot of you already do/have-done that, haven't you? Yeah, you know who "you" are, lol. :) Peace and love. "DJ"

Thank you so much for this video! I had to stop watching the news recently because it was negatively affecting my mental health. I watch little tidbits here and there, but not constantly like I used to. This change has greatly impacted my mood for the better. I took the 16 personalities test and am an ISFJ. Weird, because I always thought I was an extrovert since I love being in nature. That is where I find my happy place, in nature. Beautiful scenery calms my mind and relaxes me. Looking forward to the other videos in this series!

I stopped watching news totally when I had children, because I did not want them to see such terrible things yet that humans do, I think there are too small for that and I remembered suffering a lot with the news which my father saw constantly at home. It's strange because I don't feel the same way with movies, because I know there are not real. I hardly cry with a movie, but with the news, real based stories, documentaries that speaks about real human and animal situations... I can't stop crying and crying

When I had a photo show, the gallery owner said my photos had a Wabi Sabi feeling. I asked, what’s that? She told me to go look it up. I have been very hepled to learn about, embrace and accept that nothing is perfect, nothing is finished and nothing is permanent. As an HSP and INFJ, I find being in nature and photographing nature helps me to recharge.

I remember, years ago, waiting in a parking lot, for someone. It had been raining, and there were shallow puddles in the dirty, oily pavement. The oil floated around in the water, making swirling rainbows. I remember thinking how strange it was for me to think that was beautiful.

Last year my husband and i have discovered that my daughter is a highly sensitive child. This helped us to understand some of her emotional struggles she had been having since starting school. Being so focused on how to help her, it took me so long to realize I am a hsp as well. Being a highly sensitive person is something I still struggle with. I worry I will set a bad example for her by not handling life in a healthy way.

I realized only this year I was HSP, I mean for real. I had some big burn-out episode last year and some time ago and decided to see a therapist because I finally resolve I wasn't be able to deal with all this stuff alone (I used to think I was Wonder Woman and could manage everything because I was already conscious about my tendency to burning out, but that's not enough to recover !). I know I made a GREAT choice now ! I feel better, and I understood so many things so far, and still learn so much about me. For example the MBTI test says I'm a ENFJ, but I couldn't quite understand how I could be extroverted + HSP. Actually this extro-introverted thing is full of misconceptions, and again I learn more and more about my true self (Although I was into psychology and spirituality since a long time, I had so many misconception about myself too !). I watched pretty all your videos these days :D and I wanted to thank you for all these inspirational tips. ♥ I think I'm a minimalist since a long time, but I know how it's called now, and I'm willing to continue to do so and even better, because that's what I need as an HSP.

Thank you Vera. You explained it in an easy to understand way. I am HSP and have known for about 2 years now. Both my children are HSP. I think my life today is so much easyer because I know how to read my inner signs now. When I need to take a step back and be on my own and when to avoid situations. I also make lists for EVERYTHING now. This helps me to clear out my head. It can be difficult to make people understand and accept it, so it is good that more people talk about it. Thank you.

I can relate to the majority of the points in your test. I counted which do not apply because it was easier and I counted some as half points and came to a score of 25. So while I am quite sensitive, I am not ultra sensitive and I think this as a good thing because it causes less problems but issues arising due to it are still of daily concen. I like being hsp for the most part and would not trade them because without it life would feel empty and lack emotion. Knowing that I am a HSP doesn't solve problems but it's been an eye opener and helps dealing with it and to find who I am. Thanks for your videos.

I have been called antisocial and now I understand why I never wanted to go to parties. I always wanted to stay home and have some quiet time, and I was always the first one to leave any gathering. It all makes sense. Finding out that one is an HSP is not easy.

Great video. 🙂 I'm pretty sure I'm also HSP though I don't really talk about it, mostly because I'm concerned people see it as an excuse or weakness. I have a friend who's very open about it, and recently one of our mutual friends (he's generally very critical and negative, unfortunately) started complaining about her and basically said she's just an attention seeker. I must say I surprised myself and stood up for her and advised him to read up on what being HSP is like before throwing around accusations like that... But I admit it makes me even less likely to be open about being HSP...
@SimpleHappyZen
@SimpleHappyZen 6 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much for sharing your story Miralci. I understand how something like that could make you feel this way. I think talking about HSP can be important, to help non-HSPs understand what it's like as you say. But everyone should determine for themselves if they want to do that, if you don't want to share it with people then I personally don't think there's anything wrong with that. I sometimes talk about it with close friends/family, and my boyfriend of course, and this helps me because they can understand me better. There's always going to be negative and critical people, no matter what you say. If they give you a hard time after opening yourself up like that, that says a lot more about them then it says about you. I've learned that it's nothing to be ashamed of, you are who you are, and I personally feel my sensitivity is one of my superpowers. I probably couldn't have made this channel like it is now for example, if I wasn't highly sensitive. Also, I learned about ways to talk about your sensitive trait with people in a way where you emphasize the positive aspects, from the book "The highly sensitive person". I found this very helpful. All in all, I'd like to tell you to not be embarrassed, and to love yourself just as you are, and to let anyone who gives you negativity just talk, it says nothing about you. :-) Have a lovely day!

Simple Happy Zen Thanks for your reply Vera. 😊 I personally don't have issues with myself being HSP, and I know that the way people react shows more about them then about yourself. 🙂 It's just that I'd rather avoid such reactions, as they "stick" to me for a long time... (I'm sure you understand 🙂)

I am the same way about movies. I avoid the out and out gruesome. The scripts are lifted from real life or they wouldn’t be half as frightening. Walking dead? They are the world over in various circumstances and degrees of human degradation. It’s called homelessness, mental illness, drug addiction, famine, war...sometimes any and everywhere you go and see for yourself. But retreating into a cave is not the answer. I once read or heard of a man who, as a child, was told by his mother to focus on all the people helping in a crisis situation. That brings hope and peace of mind. That, if you yourself were in need, natural human inclination is to help and you would not be left to suffer without anyone responding. That is excellent advice for the highly sensitive...look at all the people helping.

Thanks for sharing Iris Eligio, I hope you can take good care of yourself at work and avoid stress when possible. In my case, they are both related and not related. Of course Caroline! 😊 There's kind of like a "scale" when it comes to being HSP. Some people score very high, others a bit lower. But really, all you need is your own intuition; when the tips feel good to you, when it feels like you could benefit from them, then definitely use them. 😊 Taking care of yourself in a way that YOU need. ✌ You can also check out the test I made to see how many of the 30 signs you recognize.

I do try and eat regularly and try and eat healthily ie less meat and processed food but sometimes run short of ideas and also find it difficult cooking what I like and having to cook different meals for my family I would appreciate any help or maybe recipe books you could suggest thanks again.
@SimpleHappyZen
@SimpleHappyZen 6 жыл бұрын
Hi Theresa! Good question. 🙂 When it comes to food, i think the "simple" guidelines work best for us, i.e. regularity, nourishing foods, not too much sugar/cafeine/additives/processed foods. When it comes to cooking meals, I once found myself completely overwhelmed by all the vegan recepes out there, people telling me I needed to soak beans, foodprep, buy all kinds of expensive ingredients and cook complicated vegan dishes. Now I make it a lot simpler for myself. I like to cook for 2 days, so that the next day I just have to warm something up for example. And I have around 8-10 dishes that I like, that I just rotate all the time. And then once in a while, try a new dish and if I like it I add it to my routine. That way, grocery shopping becomes a lot easier too. For recepes, I usually stay here on youtube and try to find easy healthy dishes that aren't too complicated, time consuming or expensive. I try to make it as easy as possible.🤗

Simple Happy Zen thanks for that I also feel overwhelmed by all the vegan suggestions out there the cooking for 2 days will be a big help and also the idea of sticking to what I enjoy and trying new now and again thanks. I will also keep a lookout for recipe books as I enjoy using them better and just using the internet now and again for ideas.
