You said something my mom told me once. I was debating on going to nursing school. I said "But it's going to take so long! I'll be 34 when I'm finally done!" My mom said "How old are you going to be in 4 years if you DON'T go to nursing school?" That really resonated with me. It's true in your case as well. Time is going to pass whether you are changing your lifestyle or whether you don't. Where do you want to be when that time period has passed? Healthy, or still hating yourself? Congratulations, you look beautiful and healthy.

The funny thing IS it is so easy to allow just a bit of carbs back and then it just spirals out of control until you get a grip again. Carbs ARE ADDICTIVE AS DRUGS FOR SOME PEOPLE... Realizing this is important. You ladies are helping many thousands of people to live longer and happier lives. Keep up the good work of developing, finding and sharing recipes and a bit of your lives, many out here appreciate it. Variety helps in the battle to keep it Keto. Thanks!

Love this!!! I was in the same boat and finally in June of this year 2021, I started over and am down from 200 pounds to 164!!! I was successful 3 years ago but gained almost all of it back. I felt so defeated, embarrassed and ashamed that I let myself go back up. I hated how I looked but mostly how bad I felt physically. Thank God I refocused and started again. I was determined. Today it’s September 16. Four months since I started keto and I’m still going! I’ve lost 28 pounds! I still feel great and the Lord has helped me through some stressful times, keto has helped. So I had other problems like my hair falling out. I started a journey of trying to eat healthy after discovering what was actually wrong, but found the gluten free substitutes to be full of carbs and devoid of fiber. I failed the first time I tired keto, but the second time it has stuck… and I have also lost the sweet cravings. I love the steady energy all day & the clarity of thought that I get on keto. No more carb crashes or brain fog!

In september of 2019, a doctor told me I was at risk from fatty liver disease. I asked if there was anything I could do, and he replied, "You could stop eating sugar, but you won't." On october first of that year, I discarded a great deal of Carbohydrate-laden products and began keto. Within ninety days, my liver counts were normal, and within a year, my liver was healthy. A happy side benefit was that I lost about thirty pounds. Although weight was not my primary concern, it was a welcome change to lose weight I thought inevitable for my age. I changed the bad habits of a lifetime and will never go back. I have used and enjoyed many recipes, from the Keto twins site. Your story, and your sisters, are truly inspiring. Just a note, I'm in my early seventies and if I can do it anybody can.

I have found what works for me with my carb addiction as with my addiction to tobacco I feel that the craving hits and last about 2 minutes. So I'll try to relax say a prayer asking for strength to get thru the next 2 minutes take a few deep breaths and sure enough the craving has passed. Now sometimes its back again in an hour or sometimes weeks later. But i just tell myself its only going to last 2 minutes.

This is so great! I have wanted to start keto but there’s always something that stops me, I love junk food but also eat healthy my weight fluctuates between 250-260 I just want to be 150 again😭 I struggled with addiction but when I found out I was pregnant I stuck to it I have been sober 3 yrs & 5months but now I’m starting to get depressed I just want to be active and be able to do all those things with my son😭 I need help😰

Hi Lynda! I definitely know what it’s like to love junk food and to not want to give it up. I’ve lost HUNDREDS of pounds over the years just to gain it back when I quit keto. Never stop trying because there will be a time that you are finally successful. I’ve been on keto for almost 2 years now, but i would still be 262 lbs if I never tried again. Keep trying ❤️-Em

Praying for you hun. You are in a battle with your habits and live temptation. It's so easy to give but the rewards of being hleathy outwights any fading pleasure u get from food. Think of this any time you have food cravings, fasing life with obesity makes everything harder, even having nice walk with your son would be difficult. Stay strong my sister you have a warrior inside of you let her rise. You've overcome 1 addiction, u can over come this too

I don't know if this will help you but Keto Chow was my start to doing keto. I hate to cook and work a lot of hours so time is short. I do one to three shakes a day and when I want something savory, I fix something simple and quick. Since they taste good, I've not had cravings or felt the loss of sweets. I have lymphedema so a great deal of the weight I carry is fluid (over 100 lbs). And this diet has reduced the inflammation allowing the lymphatic system to begin to heal and the fluid to come off. I'm only six weeks in and scared to allow myself to hope too much. It's been so hard to find what I needed to get it under control. Best wishes

@@ketotwins honestly, I think if you just continue on keto your body will go to its natural weight and everything will just be balanced. If that makes sense. Well, ya know some say too thin some say not, but i believe if we follow a healthy keto diet our bodies will naturally go to the healthiest weight for us individually. You guys look great.

Y'all, I am down 6.2 lbs in 6 days !! Im doing lowfat (very low, like 30 gm daily) Keto, because it needs to eat my body fat. Trying to be able to wear my batjing suit on vacation in 2.5 months !😂

Actually, to the comment Liz Ashing made, when ur using the fat off ur own body in lieu of ingesting it, um, YES, its still KETO. Im using my own fat stores to fuel my body, not eating it.

This is such good advice. I went keto some years back, lost loads of weight fast then ate too much fat and it all went wrong. Last year, stressed, carb addicted and pre diabetic I jumped in again, and I’m losing slowly, about 25lb down and hoping to lose maybe another 12 or so. I don’t track, count, I just eat healthy whole foods, concentrate on protein, I’m never hungry and rarely get a craving any more almost 6 months in. Just eat good food and see how you feel and how your clothes fit. My health has improved immensely despite being old and having ME…I will never go back to eating sugar and carbs. You both look fabulous, and well done 😊❤️

I’m on day 8 of this keto journey and already getting rid of a lot of water and got through keto flu feelings too. I’ve not lost weight yet, but my face and eyes are far less swollen. These keto videos are everything to me and I ate radishes today because of another video you produced. I loved this video it made me cry and not because I was sad. Thank you.

Very inspiring. I too struggle with no loss for weeks. Sometimes I gain, sometimes I lose. On the plus side, I have been insulin free for a year now & my Dr. is very supportive of my Keto lifestyle. I used to take 2 kinds of insulin 3x/day & had to test 4x/day at high doses. My glucose levels were off the charts. It has taken a long time to learn what is right for me to eat. Any weight I lose now is just a bonus for me. I feel better in my clothes & bought some smaller ones for future goals. I have more energy than ever. With the nice weather, I plan on getting more active outside. Last weekend camping, I spent time running around playing with cousins who are 9,7 & 2 so their Mom could tend to her new born baby who was less than a week old. Her Mom would then take the baby while we were playing so she & her husband could rest up. I can’t wait to see the kids again & am already planning new games to play. I lost 5 pounds in 3 days! I had also pre-made my keto meals & snacks to take with me. I was proud of myself for thinking ahead. The adults were sitting around the campfire discussing how bad their diabetes was, how much insulin costs etc. All while chowing down on huge burgers, hotdogs, chips, s’mores etc. I have to admit that I did eat a couple of meals in my trailer because it was so hard to watch them gorge away & complain about their health. They all know I am on Keto. My Sister in Law has started asking me about Keto meal planning and for help getting started. She’s tops the scales at over 400 pounds. I told her I would be happy to help. She’s a beautiful lady with an amazing heart. She & my brother have been together for 33 years & just had their 27th Wedding Anniversary. I told her how much I loved her & that I was afraid of her dying young from being so unhealthy. She is a twin too, her twin is her brother. He’s tall, lean & fit. Now if I could just get her to my place where all the ingredients are... One step at a time. We all start somewhere. Thanks for bringing us these amazing recipes & testimonies. It really gives me hope that one day, I too will reach my goal weight and the rest of my family will see that Keto is not a diet but a lifestyle change. 💞

Its a life long effort... Great job! Don't forget if you have trouble keeping the amazing results you have attained that fasting is an option. You are a very strong person. Addiction is difficult. I have lost and regained about 40 pounds each year, because I can't seem to stay on the horse. I get back on each time, but you overcame the addiction. That is amazing.

Kudo's to you! I too am embarrassed about my weight. I spent my whole life in special operations (lean and ready to fight) and then I retired and my weight took a spiral up to 280 lbs. Keto has helped me as well as exercising 15 minutes each day. Blood sugar is down, blood pressure is down, weight is coming down. Good luck to you!
