No truer words ! God only knows how many diets I’ve tried and been in 2018 I started keto and in 7 months I lost 57 pds and was at goal and what happened I started to do “ dirty keto” and that was it . Now almost a month ago I started keto again and this time I only need to lose 20 pds but I feel so amazing and I’m always always full cravings are gone . Life is good your both beautiful woman 🌻🌻🌻

I think it’s very important to remember that people love you your husbands family for who you are your journey has brought you somewhere that hopefully will make you happy but viewing the pictures you were absolutely beautiful both of you before and still are do what you need to do to be happy, but Realize you’re OK just the way you are and keto is not a diet. It’s a way of living for the rest of your life… you deserve to take care of your body which is taken care of you.

Thank you so much for this video. I am on try 700 of some kind of diet and I have been on/off keto for the past two years. I am actually just trying to get through today. I am 73 years old and have never truly conquered this. I am at 269 pounds right now. So this video is very encouraging, even to an old lady like me.

Have lost 60 lb on LC/keto and I still need the encouragement of this kind of heartfelt reality check. Bravo to both of you for what you accomplished and for your courage and caring to reach out a hand to those struggling behind you. You have to get over the "this is not fair....people eat xyz carbs all the time....I just want to lose this and be one of them again". You have to get to the place where you realize keto is a forever life style and not a "get out of jail card". Thank heavens one thing keto does eventually do for you is cure true hunger and allow the cravings to finally fade.

I have tears. I needed this video today! I started keto last summer and lost fifty pounds, after being diagnoses with NAFL hyperparathyroidism, and osteopenia. I already had HP, Sjogrens and RA. I have hit a wall for the last three months, no weight loss but no gain either. I want to lose at least twenty more pounds. I know I can do it. I am much, much older then both of you, I only have a few good years left. For them to be good years, I have to be healthier. Overweight, tired and retired are not a good match. I feel more motivated to get back on track now. I thank you both so very much for sharing your experience. hugs

I love your honesty! I love your videos! I love you both so much! I totally understand! I did keto for 9 months many years ago. Hubby and I were so strict and were so successful, then BOOM! Thanksgiving came, and that all she wrote! Sugar and carb loaded foods were re-introduced into our diets......Didn’t even matter that we had sugar headaches and body aches. We gained all of the weight back, AND I gained weight in places, I never even thought one could. Then I got sick.....I’m a colorectal cancer survivor, that has good days and bad days (physically). I’ve had to change my diet around to accommodate my gut issues, thus causing me to gain weight over the years. I’m about to turn 60 at the end of the year, and I’m determined to not be fat! Thank you both for your honesty. I can see the pain in your eyes at the beginning of your journey. My heart hurt for you both. You’re in an amazing place now. You’re successful on your channel. You’re both gorgeous, and such inspirations, and your recipes are amazing! Thank you!!!!!!! 🥰

Wow! Yep, I cried. Y’all are so real and I thank you for that! Your vids were a huge part of what motivated me to get going on this. I had already been looking into it when I found you ladies but it was seeing (and binging on) your vids that really put me over the edge to just do it. I spent a weekend cleaning out my kitchen, frig, and pantry. I gave away a huge amount of food to family and friends and still to this day several months later my pantry looks empty (I’m actually storing tools and art supplies in there). But I had to get rid of the no-no foods and it truly helped! I couldn’t afford to go buy a ton of keto-friendlies all at once so I just shopped for meat, eggs, and cheese, (LOTS of bratwursts cooked and bagged up-they are still a staple for me), almond and coconut flours, and bought a dash mini waffle maker for the chaffles. Oh, and heavy cream and mio-type flavorings for my substantial sweet tooth. I have slowly, little by little added to my keto pantry and though I went off keto last week while staying with my grandson after his appendectomy, I’m now back home and right back in the keto saddle! It’s been several months and though I’ve only lost 26 so far, it is 26 pounds!! That is a win!!! A huge win!!! I realize that I have to maybe back down on some of the higher-caloric keto foods to get out of this stall I seem to be in so that is my focus now, getting back to total keto with a little less caloric intake, but it’s not a strict thing, because I wont stick with it. I am just more conscious of it is all. But in 4 more pounds I will be under 300 for the first time in a couple years, since my wreck!! So I will celebrate that in a big way, but in a keto way!!! Going to my grandson’s last week was a huge win, and something I don’t know I could’ve done before keto! But I feel like losing those 26 gave me the boost I needed to make that 14 hour train trip and stay the week in a multi-level home with stairs!! I hadn’t done stairs since my wreck!! (And I hope I never see another one quite honestly!) But I did it!! When I get to my target weight, I am hoping I will be able to make that trip without ANY issues at all!! It’s actually only 8 hours to KC from my home here in TX but I can’t drive that far (sounds so silly, but PTSD from the wreck TWO YEARS AGO-UGH-so train was the only option). So way too long a story, but you ladies have helped me so tremendously to get going on this, and are still helping me to get back on it, and helping me realize it IS doable, and returnable when veering off for a minute. You are providing SUCH a valuable support and I can’t tell you strongly enough how much I appreciate it! Oh, and btw, you BOTH were absolutely gorgeous brides!! Your hubs both love you both regardless your weight, obviously!! And now that y’all are smaller, huge bonus for all of you!!! You feel and look better and have a better self-image, and they get to enjoy that happier outlook from you! Win-win!!

You looked beautiful on your wedding day, sweetheart. And to think, your hubby wanted you just the way you were! That doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t lose weight, for health reasons if nothing else- same for the proposal! (Ok, I’m new, and still need to get the names right). The reason that’s important is because too many people carry over their low self esteem into their new bodies. You are the same person no matter what your body looks like. My struggle is the ingredients. You absolutely can not eat "normal" food anymore! You have to become a chef and a baker and do everything from scratch. If you want BREAD... you need to pull out bags of Swerve. If you want SPAGHETTI... you have to pull out a grater. It's awful.

@@myrnaparedes3475 . I understand how you feel. I am almost 68, with hypothyroidism and I am not having the terrific weight lose that others seem to be having. I have just begun trying 2 or 3 day fasting and that seems to help a little. I just keep reminding myself that it took me years to get this out of shape, so I will take me more than a few minutes to see real improvement. However, I am starting to feel physically better. I'm going on 6 months keto this month, probably a year and a half in total (this is the third time for me) and I am so much happier with myself that I have finally found the confidence enough in myself to start my own photography business. I am finally allowing myself grace enough to feel proud of myself for once, rather than shame of the things I haven't accomplished. I've lost over 50 pounds now and am absolutely not stopping keto! I allow myself a couple days out of the month where I eat whatever I want, but the next day immediately I am right back on it, no excuses. It's true how we as humans are so addicted to carbs and the sugary foods and stopping that addiction to those foods is so so hard! Thank you! My journey is I'm always gaining and losing the same 3-5 lbs and I'm just in the beginning stages...lost 26 lbs. but need to lose another 80 lbs. I know what triggers me (stress) to want comfort but then it puts me out of ketosis. It's not anything major but it doesn't help the weight loss. Low carb and daily walking (no tracking, just sticking with my principles) got me down to a size 2 and stayed there for quite awhile but this pandemic has kicked me in butt. WFH hasn't fared well for me and I am cognizant I have derailed myself. Many lessons learned in 2020. Thank you for posting this .. I have been in your shoes more times that I care to count. I needed to hear this today. Thank you

We definitely know where you are coming from with the pandemic weight gain, I alone gained almost 20 pounds in 2.5 months! I’m just happy i regained control before i gained even more! -Em

Both of you are wonderful! Thank you so much! I was a teenager when I was told I needed to lose weight. I was about 40 pounds overweight. I didn't know anything was a problem. I'm now 72 and on Keto and intermittent fasting. I love it because when I stay on it I have no hunger! It's a miracle! If I cheat it takes 4 days to get rid of the cravings again. I'm doing so well. Your video's help so much!!

I’ve been on keto a year now, took off a month because I hadn’t lost in months, and I feel so much better on keto again. My brain works better, and I am just happiest when I am controlling my food.

I considered myself a failure when I fell off keto. Everyone complimented me on my transformation. And when I fell off, I fell hard and gained all the weight back. I felt everything you both expressed. Thanks for being so real about it. I now am encouraged to try it again. Blessings to you!

Trying on wedding dresses and feeling like a whale made me try keto. I felt terrible all the time and also hated myself. I was ruled by food addiction.i'm so glad I stuck with Keto. I lost over 20 lbs. It isn't as much as I wanted to lose but I feel better. Health has been my goal all along. I've been low carb/keto for 3 years and have maintained my 20 lb weight loss and am not ruled by food. I consider it a success and I don't even miss all of the crappy food I use to eat. Stick with it! Don't beat yourself up for slip ups. Guilt is not constructive. Just get back on it and make better choices, not perfect choices.

Thanks y’all, I needed to hear that. I flip flop so much, I should live at the beach. I’ve come to realize that my struggle is all psychological bc I eat things i know I’m not supposed to then feel guilty but it’s like an addiction to sugar and carbs. 😞

We are carb addicts too! I know that I can’t control myself when I eat them. Sometimes you have to treat food addiction like you would with any other addiction. Some people might be able to eat carbs, but I can’t. I have to make the decision to stay on keto everyday, it gets so much easier as time goes on! -Em

I am so proud of both of you. It’s really hard to hang your dirty laundry in public, and then to admit why it got dirty is even harder. U2 are the best and you’re keeping me on my keto lifestyle. It was hard work losing 150 pounds and I do not ever want to be like that again, but I get discouraged and you to always perk me back up. Blessings

I started again this year after falling off the second half of 2019. 1/20 I decided that I needed to lose weight for my sisters wedding which was 7/11. I went to buy the dress & the biggest size was 2x & at the time I was about a 3x. Since January I have lost 40 lbs & my entire attitude toward food & life has changed to make it more sustainable than the first round I had with keto. I’m so glad I found your channel, you two are so relatable. Thank you for your content!

Hi guys, this was a really touching video! I can relate, and thank you being so vulnerable in your videos. I fell off of keto for about two weeks leading up to Thanksgiving, it was a choice that I made and I am back on it now.Your video really hit home when you said about how you felt during certain events and I think to myself thin feels a hell of a lot better than eating a non-keto diet. Thank you again!

Beyond aesthetics keto is anti inflammatory. Cancer hates keto. Alzheimer's, anxiety and arthritis and so many other diseases improve with a antiinflammatory diet. I have heart disease. I was on the operating table talking intermittent fasting and keto with the heart surgeon. Sugar, not fat causes heart disease. Good health to you and thanks for the honesty.

Thank you for your genuine sharing. This means a great deal to all who are going through the same journey, especially women. I have been on Keto for two months and haven't lost much weight except the water weight at the beginning (and regain a couple pounds these two weeks). I am going on an a-week so trip soon and thought of taking a break from it. After watching your videos, especially this one and the new one on motivation, I decided on staying. You both are true inspirations. All the best :)

I was 125 to 136 pounds from the age of 14 to 23. (I'm 67 now.) But back to back babies and a bad marriage sent me into binge eating and years and years of weight gain. I've tried so many diets over the years and I spent all my time starving and counting the minutes until my next meal until I just gave up. But at just over 300 pounds and telling my oldest daughter that I KNEW that I'd never live to the age that my mother did (91) and seeing the sadness in her face made me want to try again. But my 'tomorrow' didn't actually come until my oldest granddaughter got pregnant with my very first great grandchild. I knew that if I didn't do something I would not be able to enjoy my great grandchildren. And even though that pregnancy ended in a miscarriage I finally started on the very first diet that is changing my life!! And believe me when I say that I am lazy and I'm weak, but Keto/Carnivore is so easy that anyone can do it!! I'm down 42 pounds since March 2023. My excitement that it's actually working has kept me motivated. You young ladies sharing everything that I've felt myself over the years made my heart hurt for you! I am so glad that you started your journey at a much younger age than I did and I pray that you girls continue your videos!! I LOVE your content and fun!! I've spent whole evenings just watching your videos, learning and laughing with you!! Just the same as 'age is just a number' so is weight. You were BOTH BEAUTIFUL on your wedding days!!! That's what the world seen!! It was only your own inner critic that saw anything else. Continue to shine ladies!! We're all behind you, pushing you on!!!

This is so lovely~ & I don't mean dresses & weddings, though they ARE gorgeous. You both are seriously doing good stuff w/this channel. I know everyone's story is different, yet also so much the same. For me, it's been the 'slow creep' of middle-age weight, after 30 yrs of relative stability- (under 190lbs, @5'6" tall.) I've actually eaten mostly healthy over the years, w/a gradual sweet tooth that developed over time. My ideal, comfortable weight is between 155-165, & at my highest I was 219- about 4 mo's ago. I'm at 188 now, w/a goal of 160~ & I'm now 55 yrs old. I just want to mention that because it's never a matter of having all the time in the world to feel/look/move your best~ whether you're 25/35/45 etc.. Quality of life involves all of those things. My husband & I have been married about 10 yrs now, & him being diagnosed "borderline diabetic" & put on 5 different heart & BP meds kicked us both into high gear. Prior to that, we were feeling good about staying under the doctor recommended "150 carbs a day"~ as if, please. We both knew better, but we've always worked out, so for awhile it was fine. Anyhow, I talk too much- don't need to pen an essay here =) My point is that this channel crosses every possible demographic~ which is why it's doing such good stuff, imho. I've studied psychology, human behavior, art, theatre, been a social worker & a writer - I have extremely varied, broad interests. This channel checks SO many boxes, seriously it does. I'm kind of surprised it's not more well known~ or maybe that's not your goal, idk. But it's a truly great channel ladies, & I'm glad you're here. Ok, chatty me signing off =) ~ Samantha in AZ

Please for your husband's sake check out Dr. Ben Bikman, Dr. Jason Fung and the one that really helped me was Beat Diabetes by Dennis Pollock. All on KZbin. If your husband is on a statin drug research this drug. Dr. Ken Berry has an important video. Pros and cons to statin drugs. I wish your husband well.

Thanks for sharing this. It’s been such a task for me to off load the burden of society’s expectations for how women should look. I’ve found that apart from that are my values about how I look. But in the end it has been my health that has pushed the button for me. I guess I just had to get scared to say goodbye to some of my beloved foods. Thankfully keto allows you to say hello to some satisfying alternatives.
