I did end up forgetting a question that was asked about missed doses. I have never missed a dose as I double and triple check that I have my pills with me at all times especially while traveling. I have, however, been late with a dose - like HOURS late and I was fidgety and kind of anxious (mostly not knowing if they’d be where I left them) and when I finally took the dose late my emotions kind of just hit me like a wave and I cried and then was fine lol

Thank you for making this. It was thorough, and it helped me immensely. My doctor just took me off Effexor and put me on Viibryd. I was really nervous because it’s a newer market drug with no generic option, so cost and lack of long term research freaked me out. Not only did you give me peace about my prescription, you also encouraged me to find a therapist. I’m making my appointment this week. I’ll also be intentional about WHO I schedule with based on your sharing that you unashamedly sought out a black (preferably female) therapist. Thank you. Sincerely.

I have 2 amazing black therapists and I was recommended a few medications after taking my genetics test. This is one of the aprn top choices. I’m glad I could find a black woman giving a review.

Thank you for this. So glad to find a fellow sis to relate to. My first day on viibryd I had 3 anxiety attacks. Im on the sample pack, week 2. I'm in the insomnia phase as well.

Do you take your dose in the morning or evening? I heard that it’s stimulating but my doctor told me to take it before bed which didn’t make sense to me lol

@@rosegold973 I was taking it in the morning. But I've since then had to stop. The insomnia was bad for me. Like real bad. I went like 3 days without sleeping. And that Invincibility complex was too overwhelming for me. Im now on lexapro which is working well for me.

saucy sassy wowww really? Is that why u stopped it?? Otherwise, how did it make u feel? Did u feel happy on it?? I can’t explain it... it’s this certain feeling that I’ve been longing for .. it’s a feeling from my childhood that I had when I was very happy and things felt safe. I just want so badly to feel that way again... I’m worried that all of my adult trauma has ruined me and I’ve been desperately trying to find medication to help me... but I’ve been trying to do as much research about the medication before I started it... I tried lexapro and it didn’t help me unfortunately but I’ve heard that lexapro works great for people and I hope it works great for you too

@@rosegold973 let's just say I was walking from my car to walmart with a big smile on my face for no reason. I felt like the song "it's a beautiful morning" was playing as I was walking. I just felt happy. But I was also very jittery, my resting heart rate was higher than normal and it just felt like I was really happy but hopped up on caffeine. If it wasn't for the insomnia and the racing heart I woulda stuck it out

What a blessing in regards to your co-workers. Most of us have to hide our condition. You know, it isn't a true medical condition. Sarcasm! Once anyone finds out, you risk being fired or targeted.

I've tried many meds for depression and had an issue where the med that I had taken for years wasn't effective any more. The past few months I've been put on several meds that had severe side effects, and lots of switching meds. I'm hopeful that Viibryd will work!

Viibrad has save my life and mental health every one has different side effects. Mine is when it kicks in it hits me like a truck . I end up rolling my head back next thing I know I’m “just happy “ . . I can only take 10mg. The 20mg make me high as a kite I would stumble around like I was stoned,to me it was way too much I take it at night

Oddly enough this was in my suggested watch list and I just got on this too. The first day was a crazy mood swing all of anger in the 2nd hour that I just wasn't expecting. Then in the evening I was suddenly feeling like the scene in Big Trouble in Little China when they all had the protection drink. They were all just standing in an elevator smiling and telling each other they were happy. Plus the crazy insomnia just hit at like 3 am. Rough stuff. But it appears to be helping.

I'm happy it appears to be helping, definitely give it time. It was a great antidepressant for me and I'd probablyget back on it if I need to supplement the mood stabilizer I'm currently on

yes that was a symptom when I first started and into a few months. Now I only get it if I've taken the pill late.

Honestly I’m not sure. And I don’t know what your anxiety level was like before vibryd. But if you go a few weeks and it’s unbearable I’d bring it up to your prescriber.

No itching, no diarrhea, no insomnia, no dreams, no nausea. Trintellix caused itching and severe fatigue. The sleep is just messed up. Awake at night but not wanting to get up even when awake. I actually don't have much of an appetite and have constipation. I want to wait it out but how the hell does one go to work, the store, housework etc? Sex.....people want to know! Me.....I am a widow an have no desire for anyone else. The price now is around $350.00. I looked and it should be generic in a couple of years. Many pharmacies do have a discount price but you have to ask them. Sometimes you just have to give up a few other things to afford it. Medicaid is my back up for 2 more months. Hence I am to be paying more soon. I don't think my insurance is going to cover any of it.

This was hard for me to determine as my weight fluctuated a lot during that time anyway so it was hard to know if it was because of the medicine, increased depression, or habit changes- probably a combination. I'm now off it and pregnant and lost 20 lbs because I was sick but I am noticeably smaller since stopping it.

I don't care what others look for when it comes to their care and neither should you. If doctors had a history of mistreating, misdiagnosing, and ignoring the medical needs of white people, you'd think differently.
