Growing up, I have found that the best quality someone may have is to be able to say "sorry, I was wrong, please forgive me I will strive to do better in the future" when they fuck up. I am 95% certain this story is fake. It reads like novel, there's so much flowery, blatantly unnecessary detail to set-up and let us get a feel for the cast. The grammar is also suspiciously quite clean. This is clearly not written by a reddit everyman who is just summarizing events and desperately seeking advice. Sarah is not OP's best friend, and I suspect she's been jealous and resentful of OP for a long time. I think she's the one cheating, and hope Mark makes a paternity test part of their divorce. I will never understand these awful "pranks"- they're just using that as an excuse to do something horrible to a person they claim to care about. Pranks are supposed to be silly and harmless, not cruel and awkward. I'm also a little annoyed at OP for not leaving with her husband right away and trying to excuse Sarah's behavior as "pregnancy stress" instead of just cutting her off. OP should've immediately left with her husband- how would that have been any more embarrassing what already happened? Sarah already made a scene, she should've listened to her husband the first time he asked to leave.
