With no customizations its the ultimate cruiser. With a lowering kit, racing wheels, and HP mods it becomes a sleeper. With a lift and off-road wheels, (maybe some attachments to haul gear), it becomes a great off-roader. With attachments to haul gear and a roof tent it becomes a great camper. If the tranny dies (which is pretty much impossible), you still have a B20 engine that will make many honda cars, and the miata, sleepers. The CRV could not possibly be a better first time vehicle. It works in bad snow / rain too.

5-6 extra pounds per wheel may not sound like a lot at first, but to anyone considering this modification, keep in mind that they are unsprung weight (weight not supported by the suspension) and rotating mass (rotors, tires, wheels). Depending on the extremely and applications for your choice (offroading, driving in regions with curvy roads, highway acceleration) adding bigger and thus heavier tires and wheels can have a significant effect on your driving performance and handling.

good to hear that the mpg hasn't been affected much ...the 215/75/r15 is 5.2% larger than the stock diameter, and so it also affect the speedo and mileage count on the dash... so if you plan to manually calculate the actual mpg, don't forget to put that into the equation ...but if you're using GPS to calculate, then it's accurate enough ....very nice looking simple build, tho ....planning to get myself a 225/60/r17 and 2 inches lift for mine so now I know how it would like on around 5% diameter difference ....currently running 215/55/r17 on H&R lowering kit spring

Awesome! It reminds me of the lifted CRV that I had. Just a few notes, axles might be an issue when you are flexing the suspension, recommend usage are KSeries axle since they are bit longer and help with that issue. Another thing too is using nitrogen instead of air lower weight and help with MPG.

My CR-V is my camping buggy and DD.
@GarageBuiltHondas4 жыл бұрын
I'm hoping to be able to work on those videos soon. I'll have part links when those videos are out in the descriptions. I wouldn't touch the stock engine personally. The Integra parts I doubt would make any noticeable difference. A cold air intake along with a header would probably be your best bet to make a little extra power as these crvs could use any they can get.

I just ordered some hardware that looks similar to what I need but it shows up as 2001 crv mounting hardware. Hopefully I can work something out to get it attached. Or else Im stuck with a bull bar and lights and no way to put it on my crv.

When you’re talking about adding the spacers in the rear for the trailing arm angle what spacers are you referring to?

Look up Aerogenics

Cool Bro. However, I truly believe you should have gone with a set Of BFG KO2’s.

Thanks, those are nice. But it's on the street pretty much all of the time, and I couldn't pass up these tires for only $58 each during Black Friday weekend sales.

Garage Built Hondas, Cool and only suggested as most people with compact SUV’s/Crossover’s run those or Cooper’s as the provide excellent traction/protection on and mild off road driving to a local beach area/fire roads to camp sites.

@@soulsurfer8797 I'm gonna see how these do. My friend and I both bought a set for our daily's. I'd like to push them a little on some trails, I'll report back in time.

Thanks so much for sharing your Video. I have a 2006 Honda CRV I would like to do the same setup as yours. Did you lift the car with only the spacers? Did you also put wheel spacers to make the wheels poke out? This is the first time I seen a lift without the whole kit. Please tell me it was those SPACERS ONLY THAT YOU USED TO RAISE THE CAR. PRETTY PLEASE 🙏

Yes, just spacers. I didn't use wheel spacers. The offset on these makes them look this way. The lower the offset the greater the poke.
