I got this for my 9 year old for Christmas last year and we love it! It isn't too complicated but does require some good decision making. I've never played the original Everdell but am hopeful my kids and I can play one day!

Wow, that’s awesome! And you’re right about the decision making! I think after My Lil’ Everdell, regular Everdell isn’t too much of a leap! There’s also Farshore which is a bit simpler and more streamlined than Everdell; you might want to look into that if you haven’t already! This is now called “Welcome to Everdell” after most reviewers calling streamlined Everdell, but with too much reading and tricky rules for 6 year olds. 😊

Haha, “Welcome to Everdell” is perfect! ☺️ And yes, I can certainly see a six year old playing this game with some coaching from a parent/older sibling, but as far as playing on their own, 8+ seems like a better age rating!
