I’ve been doing this too. My hair is more healthy than ever and this is because I give me a lot of Love while it’s in twists. And I’ve noticed ever since implementing amla, fenugreek, mustard oil etc (I make my own oils), my hair retains moisture longer and the onion juice is growing back my temple hairs. So can’t wait to see how my hair looks like this summer 😁😁

Very true about washing your hair while in braids. Once your ready to take them down it doesn't have to be a first priority to wash if you've done so while you had the style. Ive had my braids in for the past 3 weeks, and since then have wash twice so far.

I want to do this when I get more length but I watched another KZbinr, Indigenious Strands, braid her own hair then braid added hair around the braid! It seemed more protective and would have less tangles when it's unbraided! I only say this is because I wore braids for six years and my hair was so tangled after taking it down to have it redone each time. But I still like your method too!

Can you link the video? Cause I've only ever seen her wear twists not braids. I'd be curious to see this and learn from it. TIA.

When I take my braids out I have no mess! After I take out braids I too put twist for a week or 2 and then a gentle cleansing and def deep condition. My hair has grown so much. I've been natural for 3yrs now! That relaxer & hair dyed left me w nothing. Now my hair is back length. I'm very happy w my results and now I can say how much I ❤ my hair! I wasnt able to say that in years! My hair is so manageable. I never use blow dryer or flat iron well in 3 years. My hair luvs to air dry! Most importantly I always keep up w my trims on wet natural curls w no prob!🙏 thank u Jesus!

My hubby got really sick we spent 3 weeks in ICU and about the Hosp. My protective style went over way over the 3 to 4 weeks I usually allow and with no time on hand; I neglected my hair. To say take down was complicated is an understatement. However now I have an alarm set to remind me to moisturize, oil, and wash. This video was mere perfection thanks. Hate I miss the coupon code to order more Real Protein treatment but I’ll buy it anyway. After using that the first time my new growth was like spikes coming from my scalp lol so it’ll forever be apart of my regimen. Blessed to have this channel as a resource.

Hei sister I'm a new subscriber. I live in Norway so my English is very poor. From your videos I just found out what type hair I have. I have low porosity fine hair and I realised that I have been using wrong shampoo, conditioners and creams I didn't know how to moisturize my hair. So after watching your videos I washed my hair on Friday last week. First I applied oil into my hair and covered with plastic bag for 1 hours then shampoo my hair, then used deep conditioner and covered for 2hr and 30 min then washed my hair which is prepoo treatment my hair was so clean and softer even to detangling was very easy this time. Then when I was done moisturized my hair I used the LCO method. I was so shocked how my hair became. I have been making a plan on how many times in a week I'm going to wash my hair I was wondering since the prepoo treatment works for me and I want to try using onion ever week when I was my hair. How can I use the prepoo, then deep conditioner and onion and protein treatment too because in one of your videos I say you said that our hair need protein too how can I use all that in a week of my washing day I was my hair 1 in a week. And I'm searching for a shampoo deep conditioner and cream and oils that i can use for my hair here in Norway its only for white people where online can i buy good products?

One thing I'm guilty of, is making my braids too tight at the scalp. It's like my brain is still stuck on that "tighter the braids, longer the style" mentality 😭 But I know it's not good for my scalp. Granted, I only braided about 2, 3 times 2020 with synthetic hair(I still have the last braids I did from October). The rest of the time I had mini braids. Anyway, 2021, if I am to protective style with synthetic hair, I'll braid my hair loose at the roots. Imagine giving myself traction alopecia😭 GOD FORBID!
@preciouslafleur53904 жыл бұрын
I usually minitwist my own hair for protective styling, but now I've crocheted my hair, which reduces detangling and hair clumping, but it is harder to get to my scalp. I will be returning to mini twists. I leave them in for two weeks.

When people braid hair they normally split their real hair into three parts along with the synthetic hair split into three parts for the legs of the braid. What's she saying is to only have your real hair as one leg of two braids with some synthetic hair and then only synthetic hair as the other two legs of the braid.
