Oh yes. Not often but it does happen. In the face, the ears, sometimes my arms get tangled up and a smack my knuckles with the sticks. It usually hurts a lot. Lol

Wow brother!!!! I personally had the same thing happen to a kit when we rolled the Truck on tour and unfortunately lost my guitarist and my soul brother. RIP BRO. My mates fixed my DW tour kit and my cases however left my snare case in bits to be thankful etc . I FEEL YOU .. Everyday I look at that case or someone mentions why its banged up and looking tired I Say a prayer and am very thankful . Peace Dusty

Hey Dusty, as always thanks for the great video. What brand is that trigger on your snare? Also is it used for triggering or gate-ing? I also like the SE ribbon mic you have on for side snare.

It’s a Roland trigger. It has some sounds programmed into it, we picked the sound that had the most depth and beef to it. It helps fatten the sound up and the top snare and that ribbon mic do the rest. They all work together equally. The trigger sensitivity is turned all the way down so you can see it only fires on the big hits.

I like to have my hi hat pedal resting at the same height as my kick pedal. So for me that’s what it’s all about. It makes for an insanely huge hi hat gap, so my foot does it all.

Long time fan of Granger's but just found out you have your own channel. I am not a musician but fascinated with the drums about half way through the vid you are putting sticky things on the drums and I just wanted to know what the purpose of those are.

They are to control the ring of the drums. Just slight muffling helps keep them under control. They are called Moongels
