I plan to leave the US and go somewhere more affordable as I approach mid-60s. Philippines is top of my short list. But one huge thing I want to get away from is politics. I want to chill in BGC and not care who gets elected here. Too much mean, hateful, sometimes violent divisiveness. BGC looks like I can just enjoy life and friendly people.

Brother, Filipino here. Piece of Advice for your consideration. You may want to google it yourself, I believed there's much better place coming Soon and could surpassed BGC within 15 years. The New Clark City is a planned community currently undergoing development, owned and managed by the Bases Conversion and Development Authority. It is located within the Clark Freeport and Special Economic Zone in the municipalities of Bamban and Capas in Tarlac, Philippines.all the best Brother...Its an amazing place Brother..Best of all, it's way lot cheaper than in BGC..

Just a caution, there's no free toilet paper in the malls you buy your own. This is the case in all third world or developing countries.
