I absolutely love watching Y'all. I used to think that Mulberries and blackberries were the same. But Mulberries grow on trees and blackberries grow on bushes. My mom used to get mad at the birds that had eaten mulberries, she would hang out laundry and the birds would fly over after eating mulberries and drop their poo on her clean clothes. Mamaw please pray for me. I tripped and fell and broke my foot. Being 67 years. old, it's taking some time to heal. God bless!

Two mulberry trees grew near our ditch bank where I grew up. We ate them with sugar and milk or just by themselve. Everyone walking by after school could get them some. We climbed in the trees because the limbs were large. Beautiful green leaves and covered with mulberries. Can't remember having pies but I'll bet it's good. 🌳😊

Yes!! My Kentucky grandma made pies and cobblers!! We had mulberry trees, raspberry bushes, currant bushes, apple trees and peach trees. One of her sons lived down the road from us and they had a white mulberry tree. They were the best things I ever had!! So sweet and juicey!! I was the cake and cookie person until mom quit RCA to stay home and help her mom as Nanny was getting older and more feeble. We had 2 gardens and I loved the vegetables and squash and pumpkins and tomatoes we had. We canned most of what we ate. The older we kids got the bigger the gardens got. Life was good at home but socially I didn't care about going anywhere but church because people up there were not nice to me and once grown I left for the south. I've been in Tennessee for the bigger part of the last 45 years and wouldn't change a thing. God bless yall!! Love the videos.

I live in Texas; mulberries grow here, but we don't have any trees. I've never had mulberry pie. It looks delicious! I've had mulberry jelly many, many years ago, but I don't remember what it tasted like. My Granny was a pie baker but I never learned to make crust like she did. I buy the ready-made just like you did, on the rare occasions when I make a pie, which is usually a chocolate cream pie or French Coconut pie. (I do make the cream fillings from scratch, like my Granny did). I prefer to bake cakes, or to make no-bake desserts pies and desserts. Not much of a candy maker either, except at Christmas and I will make Eagle Brand fudge and coconut-pecan truffles. Many Blessings to you all. Enjoyed the reading and the prayer. ✝❤

What a gorgeous and delicious looking pie! I was watching this video as I made a rhubarb skillet cake using my own freshly picked rhubarb from my gardens. It feels so good to use something you grew yourself and God gave you. Such a blessing if abundance. Funny thing - I don’t make pie crust well anymore, but I knew how to make it really good as a kid back in the early 80’s. My mother taught me before she passed on. So, I buy the prepared crusts now too. Less trouble and less disappointing if my efforts don’t work out as planned. Next project will be making strawberry rhubarb jam when the fresh sweet Ontario strawberries become available. My beloved grandma Eleanor taught me how to makes jams. Darling Mamaw is such a light in the world and so loved. Sending hugs from Canada!

If you want to use the mulberries for baking muffins, a pie, tarts, jam, or other such delicious treats, then you must take kitchen shears and snip off each and every little green stem. Otherwise, you will end up with what seems like chewy little sticks in your mouth as you bite into that tender muffin or flaky pie. I’m guessing that after your guests have spit out a few stems, they won’t be back for seconds, no matter how good your baking skills.

Is it anything like blackberry pie? Maw, have you ever made homemade drop noodles? You roll out your dough just like you were making a pie crust or anything else you cut them in the slices or you can use a press machine, cut them in the slices and drop them into your boiling chicken noodle soup.!! Because there were 10 of us in the family my mom had a plenty of stuff going on at the same time she’d bake 4 to 6 pies at one time she would make four loaves of bread two or three times a week. We were hungry family.😊 ❤️🙏 you, Corey, you sure are a wonderful helper! You don’t need anyone to tell you you just know what to do! I see you moving things out of the way keeping an eye on the seeds real good helper you are😊

At the farm, we have the dark purple mulberries, and we also have the white honeysweet mulberries. Mawmaw, homemade pie crust is easy to make. I use lard or pure butter to make my pie crust. Store bought pie crust is good but homemade is a delight. Enjoy your pie it looks tasty💕😋
