Corey tell meemaw to give them a five minute ice bath before peeling them. It will cause the shell to slide right off. You can also use the butt of the spoon to guide the shell right off without damaging the egg. Keep the videos coming. I’m loving the country living.

Our family recipe for Angel Eggs is almost the same, except we don't put vinegar, and add a tiny bit of yellow mustard. It's a joy to watch Mamaw cook and bake everything with such love. Ok , mamaw just won my heart ! When she corrected grandson when he said deviled eggs !!! She said ANGEL EGGS !!! We call them that also! My mom's recipe had no vinegar, but yellow mustard & sweet relish. How I miss her! She was passionate about everything she did! When I make potato salad I chop up the egg whites but mash the yolks & mix with the mayo. It gives a richer flavor throughout the bowl. So good. Mom was born on the Kansas prairie in 1918, year of the spanish flu pandemic.💖

Ms.Margaret, I watched a video one day about eggs and the great way to get them open easily! When I take mine out of the water AND rinse them off I take each one take the back smooth area on the back of the spoon tap each egg on the Round top part of the eggs a few times and you can just start peeling and the egg shell will come off beautiful and the eggs are great! I'm so glad that Sweet person showed it, but I know we all do things a certain way, so I am just telling it so if you want to try you may! Yes, older eggs peel more easily because the membrane loosens from the shell with age. A few weeks old is even better. The shell will basically come off whole.

That’s what my mother taught me. Older eggs peel better. She also cracked them, then put them under running water so the water would get under the shell and help force the shell off.

I made eggs today and rolling worked good. I used a cookie baller to plop the egg mixture into the well in the egg. It only used 1/2 a scope in each egg. nice and neat.

I live in the Midwest so I put Miracle Whip in the egg yolks. I put all the yolks in a Ziploc with the Miracle Whip and a little mustard then mash it all together. I snip off the corner and fill the whites. I'm going to try your recipe. I made your biscuits and they are so delicious!

I'd never heard of Angel eggs until I was about 45 yrs old and I'd come to town and went to my mama's Baptist church for a gathering and heard it then. Yes, God is love! And the ole enemy will try and discourage you just like with the egg peeling. You gave God praise and kept going on and the devil gave up and the shells started coming off! I love it when that happens! I had to pause while watching to get me some eggs on to cook! Milton taking a bite then grabbing another made me want one bad! Lol Corey I like paprika too! I bring my eggs to a boil and cook them 12 minutes...then they go in an ice bath....usually the shell comes off very easy but you always have some that are difficult....I honestly think it is the egg itself...not the way they are cooked! Look forward to seeing all your videos!! Love mawmaw!!

I was going to ask about that platter. My mother and grandmother loved that deep green glass. Also, if you put the eggs in cold tap water for 45 minutes to an hour, the shells will slide off in one or two pieces. Change the water after 20 minutes. Love your down home channel. Thank you so much.

The easiest way I have found for peeling hard boiled eggs is to: roll the eggs on the counter, then put them in a glass jar filled with cold water (I use an empty spaghetti sauce jar), then put the lid on and shake, shake, shake! Take the lid off and the shells are floating around and the egg is clean. Easy peasy!

Great recipe! Thank you for your videos and The Word!! I bring water that just covers the eggs to a hard boil and lower eggs into water with a soup spoon. The hard boiling water shocks the eggs and releases the membrane that holds the shell tight. After 10 minutes remove and place in ice water for 5 minutes give a good crack all the way around egg lengthwise and the shells slip off very easily. i also learned that if you over boil, you get the green gray ring around the yolk from the release of sulfur. thank you again for your faithfulness.
