In this video, I mainly focused on the things the university needs to improve, so soon I will do a video with the best things it has to offer! I absolutely love the university and I made the right choice coming here. REMEMBER this is only my perspective and a lot of people might have a different opinion! All opinions all valid, all experiences are different.

Omg this video was bomb! I am an EU student too and at Leeds Uni now, but everything you said is so true! I feel like whenever I come across a video titled „spilling the tea about my uni” it’s usually praising the uni but here you mentioned all the important points. I also feel like (sorry if someone disagrees) but education in EU at high school might be on a higher level than the UK and so we typically have more expectations which sometimes aren’t met. Also we pay 9k, UK students are used to this fact but most unis in the EU are a lot cheaper that’s why we want a top class experience

@FlyingMonkies325

Honestly i haven't thought any of it is worth it for the past 7 years now cos colleges and unis made my anxiety and depression worse (which i now understand i've always had anxiety) and they mean to make it worse and all they did was put me down and not bother to explain how to even study for myself which you need to be able to do, but they just do things that bullies you out both the students and any sort of decent teachers and they defo target minorities the most (like myself cos you can tell right away i'm "different"), and that's cos they know they don't have to give back all the money if not they won't give any of it back. The curriculum in terms of what you could learn and there IS so much more to things than they would have you think it's just not adequate enough and they know it's not and it's way too restrictive and we need to know everything there is to know about a subject, ya know?, but i was reduced to tears at my local when i tried to get into an apprenticeship but you DO NOT want to do this through the colleges and unis cos they'll mess you about then put you down... but while i was doing a cooking course they just used me and the other students to make money. In schools it's just been the same of singled out and made to feel worthless and it's the same with a lot of people and i really think it's better to find some online courses instead and take full advantage of the resources online which are amazing :) and even right now there really isn't any guarantees you'll learn anything cos they won't even tell you they don't actually have the equipment to do the subject, it's just not worth the risk and you could learn something in a few months not an entire year. I'm not sure why they keep striking for more pay cos it doesn't fix any of these problems... but they only seem to care about pay when there's a lot more going on they should be striking for but they don't seem to care when they should... ya know?. These days that's what it is, is you have to teach yourself you're so on your own with it and being able to get everything online for free it's like... What is the point of paying thousands for a course now? lol there isn't one... it's not a bad thing teaching yourself cos it means you have full control over your own learning and what you learn which from what we've seen and how it can be exploited it's really a good thing for ourselves cos we can set ourselves things to do and can skip all kinds of institutional problems, do it anyway... cos we really should... take our own initiative and take responsibility for our learning too, i don't like trusting people anymore with my learning when i can do that and most of us are fully capable of it. It's just not worth £5,000 - £9,000 pounds when they just don't teach things right.

Hi!! I joined Manchester Entrepreneurs, which I recommend 100%. I joined MULS, the new committee for next years IS AMAZING. MULS is the law society but it’s non only for law students! Anyone can join. You learn so much about the business world as well. Those are the societies that I am active in. I also recommend the debate society, I have heard is really good. Then you have societies for each nationality which provides you with an amazing support group that reminds you of home. The sports community is also amazing if you are into sports

Do you sometimes have difficulty with English? Like in lectures or with friends? I want to go to university in England but I’m afraid I won’t be able to study well in a language different from mine
@Celinassousa
@Celinassousa 4 жыл бұрын
Hello! I had the exact same concern before coming and the answer is no! It’s so fine. Everyone has a different accent but I understand 99% of what they say. Certain books I have to read are more complicated to read, especially if they are old English, but not a problem that a dictionary can’t solve! You get used to it and you develop even more your vocabulary. If you are still struggling, the university offers support to international students that struggle with the university level of English 😌

A strong passion for languages was born in me but I'm not good at it, I don't know if my fatigue is connected to my being sensitive, introverted and blocked or not because I noticed that most people can study languages easily , I don't know if they were all born with the innate predisposition and I together with the minority are the only losers who don't have it and if you need to have a talent not to struggle with languages ÷+×

Let me advise you as a Mancunian . Statistically rainfall is average for the UK, so that stereotype of the city is BS. The issue is more overcast days than average, especially in North Manchester. Really, the weather is seasonal.
