His jams to demo stuff are always 10x better than anything people actually put out in that same style these days. Frontiers needs to have him on payroll to co-write on like 90% of their catalog.

@Euge Valovirta Dude, what really connects for you is the fact that everything you do on & about guitar is just fucking pure honest _heart!_ And, you know, a heap of awesome talent. Man, you're not tryna fluff up some poser bullshit, you _never_ say shit like, "well, I would tell you how I process my guitar sound, but the fact is that my signal chain is really simple except for how I run one line out to my bank so like every note I play gets assigned a money value & then the tone morphs so like the more money I make, the cooler the tone is, so like that's why I can't exPLAIN how it works because these bank tellers, see, they adjust my tone on the FLY and so it makes a really unique........" 😂😹😅🤣🤟🤣 You just go, "look, it runs from here to here (close up of gear), and then to _here,_ (another close up), and finally to my DAW, _here,_ (close up) so..... Fuck it, Imma play some shit so you can hear it.." Then you play and it's just....man, your tone is excellent, and you always play such wicked, metal/hard rock/shred licks, except they're really the language of your soul. You just.... can't..... go..... _wrong_ with that approach. No weak links. No moving parts other than your hands. "If it ain't broke, DONT FIX IT!" Engineers know wassup. Dude you are SO not someone's flavor of the week; you play exactly what you feel and it just crackles with life. I've not run across a guitarist in a very long time who actually satisfies my own personal choices of tone and approach and feel with such honesty. I'm not just blowing smoke here, bro, you gettn right near the top of my small list of dearly cherished guitarists who can play chops all day long but use it to convey _feeling._ Keep doin this shit. It's refreshing as fuck yo!

Like the reissue first.. bad boy 2nd ..then the 85 with same el 84 as reissue.. also liked the dial mod more than the dip switch one too to dial it in. I traded set of Mullards 84s straight across in 95 for an 800 out of the 80s that they said needed tubes but sounded great to me..wish I still had that bad boy with the cab too. I think I paid 100 for the 4 12s.. played it outside in the little MTN valley and it was awesome in the forest area I lived in. Echoes were insane ✌️ Euge

First of all, that riff wreaks of bad-assery! Man, that rocks the socks off. Very well done. I have a 1983 2204 that had some Voodoo Amps mods when purchased. I seriously purchased it from a 13 year old for $500 in 2001 who 'couldn't make it sound good'. I also use the SD-1 at the exact same settings as you. I have owned 100's of amps, but this one just still does it for me. I'm going to try recording it and panning the lead as you have in this video. Again, I can't tell ya how much I enjoy your videos. They are right up my alley. Have a great and rocking day!

Euge, your simple and direct approach shows us how we waste time with endless nonsense about the search for the perfect tone, that tone that we never seem to find. And you also just achieve the perfect sound so naturally, congratulations! I know it's not really your thing, but could you show us a sound more in line with Malmsteen 80's, thank you from the bottom of my heart!!
@EugeValovirta230V Жыл бұрын
Yeah there’s no such thing as ’perfect’ in anything. I’ve always been ’sounds pretty good and does the job’ - kinda guy who just likes to play and write songs 🎼. Malmsteen’s sound: a Strat and a Plexi and play like him. Easier said than done 😎. Especially the most important part; his hands - the playing.

Hey Euge. Great video. Love your old Marshall's. I have 2 from the same years as yours and they sound great. Just love'em. My question is about your EMG's. Are those the older models that the wires come out and are hard wired to the pots? Or are they the newer one's with the 3 prongs in the back of the pickup for easy swapping and the wiring is the solderless kit? I ask because I have both in 2 different Les Paul Customs and the older wired pickups sound much beefier then the newer ones. What's your take on the differences? If you have them in any of your guitars, do you hear a difference?
