Thank you Sifu and thank you Chris for bringing Sifu online. If he's not online, a guy from far away like me will never have a chance to learn from his great stuffs. I really appreciate it

Thanks for sharing your training background, Sifu Adam! Chris, thanks for getting Sifu back online to share his insights! Chris, you're a phenomenal demonstration partner and kudos for taking so many hits for the sake of our learning. I'd love to learn of your background as well, Chris! You're equally as important to the channel in many ways. Hope you'll entertain my (our) request!

Hello Sifi Adam Chan. I have just recently subscribed to your training site and now starting to train the first Form. Learning the names. With the free first lesson. It is hard to understand the language. I am typing out the terminology of each movement as I learn them. How do you spell: The Circular Hand - It is sort of hard to make out and the video doesn't have captions on it. It sounds like "Huns Zao" Maybe it would be good to have the correct spelling of the word of the move like when you have "Sil Lim Tao" on the screen" For each particular name movement :) Another question is - Is the monthly payments in US or Canadian $$ - I am from Canada.

Let us not forget---We must seek, "To make Peace with all men," as opposed to looking for an opportunity to "Gung-Fu" somebody. There's FAR too much TESTOSTERONE goin' around, and it's very Alarming. Bottom line: Avoid fighting at ALL costs! People carry Guns and Knives these days. Be Wise... Be Smart!

I wish meeting kung fu masters was that easy. I can't even find a kung fu TEACHER in my huge city anymore.

So, embrace the example. Do what you can do and learn what you can learn for now on. When the opportunity came, you'll be well trained and will help you to learn new things. I'm now taking classes of bjj and Muay Thai but I want to learn Kung Fu as soon as possible. Do your best my friend. A hug from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Adam, can you please explain what exactly red boat wing chun is? And what the difference is between ip man/moy tat in comparison? How much red boat did Bruce Lee know?
@AztecUnshaven2 жыл бұрын
In the meantime while Mr. Chan responds, I'm gonna link you some really informative gems of Red Boat Gongfu knowledge from Mr. James Keating. Mr. Keating was a student of several amazing FMA and Gongfu teachers, including Fook Yeung, David Harris, and Sid Woodcock; from my understanding he also knows Steve Smith. Keating has a 3 part series of videos talking about his journey into Red Boat Wing Chun and how he met Sid Woodcock, David Harris and eventually Fook Yeung. He also studied with one of Bruce Lee's students as well. I highly recommend you watch all three chapters. Seattle and the Walla Walla Washington area had some amazing instructors back then. The more I looked into these great teachers, the more I understood how Bruce was able to throw and "destabilize" people way bigger and stronger than him like nothing. This is why I feel a lot of those "late era JKD is the best" folks are arrogantly missing the point of Bruce's journey and skill development. They foolishly dismiss anything pre-JKD as "classical mess", and end up missing out on huge nuggets of wisdom and power development. The tragedy of this is that most of those "late era is the best" guys don't have anything remotely close to Bruce's speed, timing or power. But I digress... here's the link to Mr. Keating's conversations about Red Boat... kzbin.info/www/bejne/o4aVnIFvZr5ra6M

@@AztecUnshaven thanks man I’ll take a look. You know what I think is a bit odd. Alex from the Kung fu genius seems very reluctant to talk about Adam or even red boat. Seems to have a real issue with fook yeung teaching Bruce. Not sure what all that’s about. Think it’s kind of strange, like he doesn’t want to believe it, yet you have Adam who knew Jesse for a bit actually told Adam that fook yeung was teaching bruce

Got it so you don't read these yourself. That's a very cool background ... Northern shaolin and a lot of Wing Chun JKD and other kung fu touch hands masters. Training 40 hours a week ... I'll still never understand that mentality because aren't you tired or exhausted from your full time physical labor job like I am, sometimes? It makes training weird.
