I'm 37 and I'm coming from Fedex... Don't let your age discourage you. We've made it to see our age and for that I am thankful. Fedex is becoming too taxing on the body and I have years of restaurant experience/assistant manager experience so I applied for the shift leader position. Go in for my interview this Friday.

McDonald's is definitely not lazy no matter how old you are, first job as a teen, third job in your 30s-40s, whatever it's a real job and quite honestly might me one of the LEAST lazy jobs! I do not understand the stigma people have against fast food workers. It's really sad. Great video! Definitely helps a lot. I just had an interview and orientation is next Friday (presumably), so I am extremely nervous but also excited!

McDonald’s was my first job too, it was a temporary work experience that was required for the special Ed school program I was in, the reason why I picked McDonald’s was because McDonald’s paid the students fire the TWE, I forget what my other option was, but the other one was not a paid job. I just rest applied for a job at McDonald’s to go along side my full time job, my phone interview it’s in about 3 weeks.

I know this is an old video but I'm going to be honest. The people saying that McDonald's isnt a real job... need to watch some POV videos from workers at McDonald's. I've been considering applying so i can make straight pay. I'm a house cleaner currently and due to health issues, the part time where I'm at is ever so barely paying my bills when i was used to having so much play money. And I'm 30, for perspective. A job is a job and right now, one of my local McDonald's is hiring crew starting from $15-$19/hour. The videos i watched... rushes are insane sometimes. It's easy but also far from it during rush periods. Idk if you're still there cause this is a 3 year old video, but if you are, i hope its still going well!! If not, i hope you had a good experience and good coworkers/upper management to work with. Much love 🫶

Congrats on your first day btw! There should be a trainer assigned to you for your first day, so don’t worry about feeling lost :) Just let one of the employees know that you’re here for your first day and they should be able to guide you from there. I’m currently training a new employee at the moment and we both have a lot of fun. First day can be anxious and scary, but I’m sure you will do just fine. Good luck!

Update - went to orientation it was three hours sighned some papers and whatched a few videos and talked and answered easy questions. have orientation on wensday do I bring my social and other stuff ? And do we sighn papers ? What do you say when you enter ? I’m hear for the orientation?

Be prepared: make sure you have your proof of identification. My work wanted me to bring my ID as well as my social so I took both with me. You will be signing papers throughout your orientation. And when you get there, you’ll be likely to see an employee there so just say kindly to them, “Hi, I’m here for an orientation!”

Congratulations on getting hired! I got my uniform and a visor at the end of my orientation :). Sometimes, though, the Mcdonald’s at your location may not have uniforms in stock so you might have to wear a plain black t-shirt for your first few shifts.
