The way you “fold” and not “roll” is the BEST advice you can give!!!!! I learned this on my own so I was amazed when I heard you say this! It’s in the blood of a true italian.. I made your recipe for marinara sauce with the crushed red pepper! It was delicious! The crushed pepper really gave it a good kick! We make a meatballs very similar. I’m gonna try the red pepper flakes again with the meatballs now. Love your channel.! ❤

Dear Tre- I love how you talk about your family and especially your mom and dad! I lost my dad ( we are from Europe) when I was 30! My husband served in the army here in the states and I felt the grief very hard. I miss my mom and sister. And I miss European cooking! Your meatballs are just that- delish! I never thought about adding cheese! Really good idea! My mom included capers in hers! Also very delicious! My suggestion if you could introduce us to a easy recipe for freshmade salad dressing! Especially Mediterranean salads or cucumber salad! I would love that! I use my grans recipe - but would love to learn new things! Thank you and BIG HUG! You have always been my favorite! 🙏🏼🕊️💕🤸🏻‍♀️🌸

It gave me goosebumps when Teresa was mixing the Meatball mixture with her hands and she mentioned how sometimes her mum would cook with her rings on and how she doesn't. In my Italian family it was the same ... I always saw my grandmothers, 1st and 2nd generation Aunties, and elderly family friends cook most of the times with their rings on. Whereas I am always taking off my rings when I'm cooking.

If you want the best meatballs add sauce to the meat and drop them raw into your sauce. NO frying or baking yuk. They come out soft and perfect.

I swear one thing about Italian cuisine especially when it comes from people who are actually Italian or even Italian-American, is that you can taste the authenticity and the fact that they make the food with love. My best friend is Italian and her Nonna always makes Ciambotta during the summer, and when I tell you…..I can taste that she truly makes hers with love, she really does and it just makes you feel all warm, and happy on the inside.

Ciambotta or Giambotta? I only ask bc I make my grandmothers Giambotta which is Italian sausage, sweet peppers, potatoes, onions and then you throw in a few eggs at the end that’s been whisked with pecorino Romano. I like learning new recipes tho so I’m curious!
