My Mercedes 190e EVO 2 is a disaster. Duraflex body kit

Im trying to build up the motivation to start working on the Mercedes Benz 190e EVO 2 build. The amount of work that just the duraflex body kit needs is overwhelming and i dont know where to start.

After much searching I have found Pesh Motorsport in Croatia ! They do the Evo 1 & Evo 2 body kit in fibreglass (with the whole front wings) coming in at £1000 with out delivery ! I am expecting to have to do work on fitting but it cant be as bad as the SHITE Duraflex kit ! Thanks Chris for taking the time to do these tutorials , As this has steered me away from Duraflkex kit . Respect mate 👌🏁🇬🇧🏁

i'm surprised you didn't go with the body kit by Rieger since it came with full front fenders w/ the flares on it. less cutting but.. definitely more $$$

Although it’s has the same type of widebody flares , Keep in mind the front and rear bumper look totally different.

Part of your issue with the side skirts is there are two different lengths of W201. My guess it that the kit is for the shorter chassis (pre 87 IIRC), and you have the longer chassis (87+). You're going to have to use a heat gun or a torch to get the fender flares to fit up nicely. You'll need a fresh set of TIG welding gloves to handle them while they're soft enough to bend unless you have some really good calouses. Careful with the torch, if you heat one spot too much it will blister the plastic. Not unfixable, but definitely undesireable. Heat gun is a little more forgiving. Glass transition (when it starts to get soft and moldable) of ABS is above boiling so you have to get it HOT. It's an art to make a shitty fitting body kit look good. You basically have to be a body guy lol. Check for fitment, pick an area to work, heat a larger area so the deformation looks more natural, pull it, rinse and repeat. Or just drop another grip of cash for a better fitting kit. For the side skirts you could probably plastic weld in ABS pieces in roughly the spots, use a very light carbide or a file to rough out the shapes you want it to be and then use some body filler to get it about perfect. Not easy exactly hard stuff to do, but very hard to do it and make it look right. As for the running issue if you haven't already fixed it. Take your accessory belt off and start it for just a minute. Don't run it too long because you wont have a water pump. I suspect the failiing power steering pump is stalling the engine at idle. If the bearings have siezed or are siezing that's a lot of force to turn.

these are BBS off of an audi.. had to use spacers, that convert bolt pattern and bore size to fit the wheels

have you checked the catalytic converter. I recommend you sell the 190e and put the money in to the zr2 and make more 4x4 ing videos lol

I still have my 1983 Toyota high lux 4x4 and i keep it because it's been with me so long and is still in great shape, I have been offered more than twice the price for it then it originally cost but I will always keep it for sentimental reasons. So is that the actual car she had or one like it.

After engine is is would it forever have to be fake smogged from the homies at the smog place… have to slide them like 300$ a year huh
