Aaron is a narcissist and a master manipulator. I hope Jenna & Linsay understand this. Narcissist don't change they only change victims. When Jenna said that his kids told her kids "I hope he treats your mom better than he treats our mom" spoke volumes to me about his character. He just moves from one victim to the next. He should be absolutely ashamed of himself, but he is a narcissist so he never will be.

Hi Mandy! I think it's so important to highlight that people who are users target people when they are vulnerable. Some layers make this situation nuanced. First, multiple people within these dynamics are survivors of Scientology. The level of neglect, emotional abuse, physical abuse, mental abuse, and sexual abuse put on these adults when they were children causes really deep and painful scars that make it hard to understand and process the emotions that go with communication breakdown, rejection, and social circles changing & breaking down. Second, you have the complication of adding protest culture on top of that. There are a lot of strangers involving themselves into people's lives and adding in their opinion and putting pressure on people to choose sides and not respecting boundaries. That goes for creators blurring boundaries between themselves and viewers. Trying to force their viewers to be "ride or die" when we have our own opinions and experiences informing our decisions. Thirdly, and this is something I'm still learning: standing up to harmful dynamics only works if other people can see and acknowledge the signs. I feel bad for being complicit in what certain creators said about people I now consider friends. I hope that I can help them heal and move forward. Sending so much love and light to those who need it. ~ Indigo

As always, you have wonderful insights, Indigo. It continues to amaze me how thoroughly 2nd gen ex-CoS folks’ psyches have been pummeled and warped because of the neglect and abuse experienced in their childhoods. Common themes seem to be black-and-white/all-or-nothing thinking; trouble identifying/expressing emotions other than anger - and even anger isn’t handled in a healthy way; and difficulty in grasping unconditional love. Sorry, I’m tired and rambling here. Your post was thought-provoking. I haven’t seen you around much; hoping you’re well 🙋‍♀️❤️💐
