I saw this and used on a waterfall I captured in Quebec back in Oct. 2024. LR failed to remove these cables in front of the waterfall. I did follow this video and yes, they were gone - WOW. Now, the TIFF was 124MB after the remove where the RAW was only 30mb. After creating the large JPEG for printing, I had to remind myself to delete the TIFF. Thanks - great informative video.

I was just as amazed and bedazzlee as you Brian when I first tried it on a bunch of wires and cables in one of my images! It's a tool that I'll be utilizing quite often I'm sure. Another enjoyable watch here!

Hi Brian, I agree the PS tool is top notch. I’ve compared the wire removal using PS with Luminar Neo and ON1 RAW 2025 and while all 3 perform about the same is fairly simple situations, PS is head and shoulders above the other 2 when things get a bit complex.

Agreed, Bruce. Nothing comes close to the results I get with PS (and LR).

The powerlines in your first photo are part of the environment you or someone took. If you are distracted by them (I am not) then don't take the shot.

Yeah, it's impressive, I’ve playing with it for a few weeks now in PS. I hope this will soon end up in all 4 versions of LR, and PS for the iPad. Is it me or is Adobe slow-walking Mobile concerning the importation of many features and tools into this platform, this would be one such example, others would be Generative Expand, Deniose, etc... Any thoughts on Apple acquiring Pixelmator?

The point is not how amazing or powerful the AI tools are but they are changing reality! Those wire that you call distractions are THERE. Part of the scenery. Removing them is not the same as adding some blur or sharpness.

That’s the beauty of photography. You have your philosophy and preferences, and I have mine.

The only thing I miss is resolution. For me it is still not enough until Adobe increases the resolution of generative remove Thanks Brian

It'll get there in time.

The captions in this video make reference to the "genital remove tool." Hands off, Lightroom!

HA! Oh man - that's what I get for not taking a closer look at the caption file that was created. Thanks for the heads up! At the very least, it gave me a good laugh!

A tool is a tool, is a tool, is a tool, is a tool ... Use, or use not. There is no try!
