My first pair of bearfoot shoes were the vivo FG tracker and they are great barefoot, shoes no doubt, but I’m walking on concrete to get from place to place the whole time and you need at least a little bit of cushioning if your going to be on concrete us humans were never ever designed to be walking on these hard surfaces so I got a pair of Birkenstock QS700s and I wear them all the time they have very very minimal cushioning but it’s there and it counts and since it’s a distance away from the ground it’s perfect for walking on concrete.

I also bought reebok wieght lifting shoes, and the midfoot was terribly narrow. My heal would sit on the inmer side on the shoe. More narrow than a Jodran 1.

I want to try the Qs700. The midfoot looks narrow. I occasionally wear Jordan 1s. I wonder if the midfoot is more narrow than jordans 1s? I also need some nice insoles because there's some nerve damaged on my foot. The insole can't have any bumps or it irritates my foot.

here's the thing : most of old shoes like nike dunks, jordan 1, has no arch support & no cushion.. yet really flat.. so are they healthier (they quite wide)?

If they don't have arch support or any cushioning it would most likely be better than the modern version of those shoes, however the width of the toebox may be something to consider.

@@julianreyes_ great Julian, I agree on most point, espescially wide toe box to acommodate toe splay. however, I also enjoy arch support for standing activities with no muscle movement. I train my feet with flat running shoes (with no arch support) for jogging. In result my toe splay are wide enough, I use forefoot stride. My question is, If I go to the barefoot alldayeveryday, would my feet still change by much (based on your experience)?

@@akbarberlian Your feet will most definitely change. Switching to barefoot shoes as the default has helped my feet feel better however I think if you want to really transform your feet you would need to be more active about it (e.g walking on different terrains, foot exercises) which is something I am still yet to do.

I purchased mine through the Australian Birkenstocks website. Not too sure which store would be best to get them in the US unfortunately.

@@julianreyes_ I emailed the us website and asked them to consider offering the qs700 to the US. Maybe if many people would do the same they would offer the boot. I pray for it, 12 hr days in these traditional boots with high heels and cramped toe boxes is no fun. Subbed !
