I keep a mini backpack which I take with me everywhere full of not only daily needs (glasses; phone power banks etc) but also art supplies. I tend to keep a watercolor palette and the air tight gouache palette with both waterbushes and collisable paint brushes.

Etchr Field Case 😊. I wish Etchr made something between this size and their next size up. This is just a bit too small for me, unfortunately, and their next size up is a bit too big and heavy. Until then, I did find a case that works well for me and I use it all the time. Thank you for the tip about using a palette knife to get the paint out of the Roman Szmal pans (and popping them in the fridge if they are too sticky). I will try that! Thank you for all the great info in this video - super helpful! 😊❤

Oh Terri I feel the same about wishing that there was a size between the two! It would then be perfect as it would be able to store my sketchbooks lol, they are quite responsive to artist feedback... so maybe one day x

Etchr Field Case! And no, I don't have one nor do I go out and paint I public. But now that my work schedule is less hectic, maybe I can sit at my local Hot Table and paint in public!!!! 😂

Etchr field case, I have a pencil case that I keep a range of micron pens in, a Derwent mechanical pencil, Escoda and Raphael travel brushes and I also like to take my water colour paints, they don’t fit in my pencil case so I just carry separately. I take my Roman szmal urban set and a Van Gogh travel set.

Etchr Field Case 😊. I’m so happy that Etchr sent you a case!! I absolutely love mine. It was the first travel bag I bought for taking my supplies out of the house. I have changed its contents a few times (after I got the Etchr mini slate, I reconfigured everything; I also bought a small pencil case to keep in my purse all the time and had to reconfigure contents of each case again 😂). Anyway, I love seeing what other people have in the Etchr Field cases or travel kits! My Etchr field case currently contains: 2 Art Toolkit palettes, a few travel watercolour brushes, small ruler, small Washi tape, eraser, paper towel, couple of small dot cards, a tiny two-pot container for water (similar to what you showed), a few magnet clips, couple of pencils, couple of pens with black ink, 4x6 Stillman and Birn, and a teeny-tiny Hahnemuhle Accordian (5cm square), white gel pen, sepia pen. I used to carry a tube of white gouache with me, until I had one get punctured in a bag and I had to clean it up…now I only take dried gouache 😂.

Love your colours they are beautiful but I don't have an Etchers case 😖 I use a wHSmith pencil cause I put this in a baggy that jolfs my sketchbook I use prncil and finelineas ar/ink for my sketches but indoors I use my sketching to produce a watercolour painting lovely video😊

Hi! Just love seeing your portable art studio in the Etchr Field Case :) I use a STM pouch, which is a bit bulky case but it gives a great overview of my art supplies. It holds my sketchbook, my colored pencils (31) and Neocolors II (21) (I use those as watercolor background and for pops of color at the end), also some pens and waterbrush. Thanks again for your video, I enjoy watching them :)

The Etchr Field case is definitely roomier than one might expect at first glance. I love the Etchr metallic golds and bronzes; I am obsessed with various golds and bronzes, and I must try Etchr’s. First, I’ll collect all of the new RS full pans, and Aquarius violet is always out of stock when I stalk Jackson’s. Brilliant touch to chop the full pans in half for a RS travel palette though . Your lively colour palette always makes me happy, and I am thrilled to have the pans ready, should they end up in a seasonal arrangement together. 💛

I do not own any etcher products (shocked I know!) but I do have a case from ArtSnacks that I got back in 2019 that I will use for slightly larger sketching adventures. But as with everything art related, I’m always trying out different setups 😄

Oh I have been thinking of getting an Etchr Field Case for a while. They definitely look like they hold a lot. I’m just upgrading my Plein Air set of supplies with a new heavy duty tripod for my self made Bamboo James Gurney Style easel. I carry new set of professional grade MaimeriBlu Watercolors, Faber-Castell Pitt Artist Ink Pens, a Pentel Ink Brush (refillable), a Pentel Mechanical Pencil, a kneaded Eraser, a Tombow Mono Zero Eraser, my new Fuumuui 4pcs Elegant Kolinsky Sable Travel Brushes, & my Etchr Perfect A4 Landscape Sketchbook. I love your art and your videos. I enjoy hearing your thought process. Since I love to travel your videos inspire me to take (some of lol) my art supplies with me and continue to create. Like you I always over pack art supplies. I justify by saying I never know what medium I will feel like working in but I think I need to shift to the “limited palette” mentality and see what I can do with what I have. Having said that the last trip I went on I didn’t bring any water soluble crayons and it was a struggle to keep myself from running to the local art store and buying some because, of course, I felt a deep need to use crayons instead of the watercolors or the watercolor pencils I did bring. 😊 I have one suggestion. I know you are in the UK, so you link Jackson’s. But are you not an Amazon affiliate? I would like to support your channel by using your links to buy things (I know it’s not much but if enough of your viewers use your links…) I live in the USA so shipping cost is an issue. Also, you may not know this, but if i click on a Jackson’s link, it goes to the product page for maybe 15 seconds then it switches to the Jackson’s general home page. So I have to do a search to get back to the product you are recommending/ reviewing. For those two reasons I rarely click on the links in your website even if Zi buy something you recommended. Sorry for the long comment. Keep up the great videos and the great art

Thank you so much for this video!!! I especially loved how you showed how to break up a Roman Szmal full pan into a half pan. Quick question- when you dig out a portion and put it into a half pan, do you save the remaining in the RS wrapper or transfer it as well into another half pan, so effectively making two half pans?
