My. first non-essential, fun-time purchase - the Mordax Data was selected as my all-in-one utility/toolbox for signal monitoring, tuning, clocking, and more. Mighty expensive, but it has helped me immeasurably with understanding now the signals flow through the rack, and what they "look like". It satisfies the nerdy science in me.

I finally ordered mine. They were not available for months. I had acquired an O'Tool scope which is a nice size. But everybody has a Mordax, and I feel it's a very useful Swiss army knife. It appears to trigger a lot better than the O'Tool. "Big Bang Radiation" ;-)

I primarily use it for tuning. I like to have for oscillators/voices connected while playing so I can retune or make sure things are in tune at all times, as I often retune by accident. It is also great for sussing out how envelopes work or to read random signals, to see where they need to be attenuated or whatever. Don't forget that it is also four oscillators or lfos.

Hi i own the Module, is it normal that you have frequencies shown in the spectral analyzer when nothing is patched? Is it a screensaver or just normal behaviour?

Hello, I believe this is normal, depending on the "Window Type" setting. When in Spectral Analyzer, tap the Window Type button and rotate the selector knob to select a different type of analyzer. You get different results. I do not know much else about this, as I rarely use the spectral analyzer.
