Last summer I brought my Eastern European friend to Indonesia and she liked almost everything that she tried, especially martabak (she was CRAZY about this one), tahu kuning (I don't really know the official name, but it's the turmeric-coated tofu) and Indomie goreng rendang (LOL of course, Indomie FTW). I'm studying in Northeast China now, and in my opinion Chinese food here doesn't even come close to Indonesian food, while a lot of Westerners that I know think that Chinese food is much more flavorful compared to Western food. Every time, I would just think "wait until you try Indonesian food" LOL Living abroad and watching videos like this make me realize just how lucky I was to be able to eat those Indonesian food everyday. And I can't wait till I get home and be able to eat those ridiculously delicious food again. Not to be overproud, but, all hail Indonesian food!

seriusan yah sekarang tuh susah banget cari pedagang kaki lima yang jual bubur ayam dan ketoprak yang jujur, di daerah aku banyak banget pedagang2 bubur dan ketoprak menggunakan bleng/pijer/borak dan parahnya lagi mereka itu gak tau kalau bleng/pijer itu adalah borak, mereka hanya tau itu sebagai salah satu bumbu masakan. padahal aq suka banget sama bubur ayam (sebelum pake pijer/bleng/ borak) itu tuh sarapan pagi terenak buat aq. tolong dong buat pemerintah agar diadakannya edukasi di tiap desa seluruh indonesia tentang jenis borak, agar mereka yang gak tau jadi tau seperti bahayanya jika kita mengkonsumsi borak,, Ya Tuhan itu bahkan bukan makanan. dan harusnya borak/formalin itu tidak di jual belikan sembarangan. muak aq sama pemerintah Indonesia yang lamban dan lembek dalam menangani masalah ini. lindungi hak2 konsumen!!!

Lotek and gado gado is different think. There have a difference. So Lotek : peanut sauce mix with orange leaf. We call it daun jeruk. And lotek use all the vegetables stuff And for gado gado : the peanut sauce is mix with coconut milk and the peanut sauce are cooked. For the stuffing gado gado use vegetables and tahu , tempe and some egg. A boiled egg. That what i lear at my culinary school. . .mbak sacha i'm your fans and i hope we can meet at riau.
