Hey Kyle and Jade Star is getting so big. She is such a beautiful baby. When my husband and I did tummy time with our daughter, we bought a playmat with music, and be very encouraging, we danced around and we would get on the floor and roll around, just for her to get a feel of how to do it.

She is so stinking cute!!! We did tummy time 10 minutes at least 2 times a day, but what I will say…THESE KIDS DO WHAT THEY WANT WHEN THEY ARE READY!!! People can get you anxious (not on purpose) when it comes to milestones ESPECIALLY with your first baby. But she will do everything in her own time…And when she’s finally walking, talking, and climbing on everything, and you can’t take your eyes off of her you will WISH these days again TRUST ME!!! My son just tossed his sippy cup at me (he’s 2) and I’m like I wish he was 6 months again!!

She's so adorable ❤️ But yes, tummy time is very important. It helps strengthen her back and her neck ( start out with 3 to 5 min a couple times a day) you can also purchase a Bumbo infant floor seat, that will help her back and balance. A walker is a good idea too. 6 months is the perfect time to put her in it. Just start out slow with everything and she'll start to get the hang of it.

Every kid is different. I have two 8 month olds and I barely barely did tummy time. They started sitting up at 7 months on their own. Although keep in mind they were premature so adjusted they were 5 1/2 months point being I think kids just have their own time. Our parents and our grandparents and the generations before us did not do all that and we all grew up just fine.

Each baby is different. Do what she's willing to do and where she's comfortable doing it. My daughter is going on 2 n she's not really talking. She's definitely vocal and starting to make the sounds of words but shorty just not ready. She follows directions (when she wanna of course) and prompts. She was a preemie so that definitely plays a part. Star will do it when she's ready.

infant teacher here! don’t get too caught up on milestones! every baby develops at their own pace, but there are things you can do to encourage her! placing toys just out of her reach when she’s on her belly, placing them up by her head but out of her reach when she’s on her back on the floor, and getting down with her while she’s doing tummy time and making sure she can see you! mostly just giving her as much “floor time” as she’ll allow you to. being on the floor at all surrounded by toys and things that entertain her will stimulate her and encourage her to move around.

I've worked in child care over 35 years. You can do as much tummy time as u like. When my parents picked up their kids and saw them when the floor. They loved it. It won't hurt her. We started tummy time with my grandbabies when they were 2 months old. U do what's comfortable for Star. She may surprise u guys and start everything at once. Some babies will start straight crawling and skip a lot. Or even start walking. U do what's best for beautiful Star

I bought a floor pad that is Inter active for my sons development. It is bright in colors has rings , mirror and things to tough. It takes time out her gown for as long as she can manage it and keep expanding the time. Exercise her legs , sit her up and introduce movement to body stretching, dancing and bouncing while you holding her.

This has got be something new because I promise when I had my oldest two in 2010 and 2011 this wasn't a thing lol. He rolls over on his stomach now, but we are working on getting him to sit up. All babies develop at their own pace. My 10 year old didn't start walking until 14 months old. Do what you can, but try not to worry yourself because she'll get there when's she's comfortable. Put a large blanket or foam mats let baby pick the amount of time , get down there with her at her level and just play gentle encouragement, help her with her position, put her favourite toys in her line of vision she'll figure it out herself how to get to it in no time. Some babies take a little longer, some babies are a little lazy, the scales are just an average not set in stone for every babies, don't worry mama you're doing a good job you can tell from looking at her.

Former teacher worked with infants and toddlers 10yrs. With my young infants for tummy time I'd lay out big soft blanket age appropriate toys and just play with them, we'd do exercises, peek a boo, play with the toys show them how to roll over by doing it for them until they get the hang of it . I'd usually do 15 mins but if they're really having fun sometimes 30 mind depends on the child and what they're comfortable with and always make sure you supervise tummy time

Tummy time is essential to the her sense of balance as well as muscle development. You may want to do things with her that stimulate her to make her more active and that develops hand/eye coordination as well as her motors skills. Look into stretching exercises for her arms and legs that are appropriate for infants her age. Blood flow & stimulating the brain cells will greatly benefit.

Oh she's soo adorable!! My goodness her cheeks and smile are so sweet! Congratulations! Youre doing an amazing job! My son is 3 now, but I remembered tummy time being on our bed mostly. Sometimes you dont want them in the floor if its not squeaky clean! But on a rug maybe or blanket if not the bed and also I just felt like the bed is softer and more gentle to practice on. My son didnt love it either but goodness they go through each stage so fast and time flies! She'll get it down soon! And I also feel more clear minded and structured when I make the bed in the morning! Something about it! And its such a small easy thing to make you feel productive and wanna proceed with the day! Congratulations again!
