I'm a middle aged woman and pretty besotted with Dan it has to be said! If I don't have a 'Daily Dan Fix' my day is incomplete! Never liked metal in any way, shape or form. It was immediately recommended to a friend who was really thrilled about it. He's a pro who actually speaks Old Norse fully and knows a lot about war viking tactics. I discovered through Ancestry that I have Swedish ancestry - which would explain why my mother and I are the only blondes in a very dark family, I suppose! I love Sweden and I do feel attuned to that genetic thread in me. I'm proud of it; I'm sure it's kept me going when I otherwise would have given up at times. I can find no trace of who my Swedish forefathers were, but I thank them every day for sailing out to distant lands.

I woke up this morning at an ungodly hour. The sun still hadn't risen and I was in for a long day. As I was preparing for the day I looked for something to listen to. Then the legend appeared. Well, dude, you did it. I have never liked much metal music in the past. I do not like not being able to hear or understand the words. You, my friend, changed that! I heard a song you sang from what I normally think of as "my church" music. Holy mother! It forced me into tears with the heart and soul you put into it! I sat in total silence for almost 10 minutes in total shock. I went looking for more of you. I found several more that were awesome, but this grouping just made me sit back in total joy!
