One of the things that I love that they do so well is that they set the scene. You are there. The experience is immersive. And I for one and blown away every time. You should check out the dragonborn comes and hoist the colors from skyrim and pirates of the Caribbean respectively. Other worldly does not begin to describe the experience. And they also did a follow-up to this song called Valhalla calling. In one word EPIC!!!!

It actually IS an old Norse song. It dates back to the 9th Century, and was of course originally in Old Norse.

Geoff Castellucci sings solo as well. Such songs as, Big Bad John, Sixteen Tons, Walk The Line, and many others. He certainly has a great bass voice. Hopefully you get the opportunity to listen to him.

Is this her first Voiceplay video? I've been combing her playlists and was surprised not to see one for Voiceplay. This is one of my least favorite of their videos. Geoff (the bass) is amazing. You should check out his solo stuff, but definitely check out oogie boogie's song from the group. Geoff is featured and his range is incredible.

This song is old... very old, by several centuries :) if you like ancient songs with a contemporary twist, that also happens to be in a similar Viking vein... you really can't go wrong with anything done by Heilung, but I do have a few favorites :) I'd say my top favorite would be their live performance of Hamrer Hippyer (for lack of a better way to describe it... my mind has always kind of heard this as something as close to a Viking rave as you can get lol) kzbin.info/www/bejne/nn_YZ3mjlrp8eJI followed closely by Othan kzbin.info/www/bejne/fYG5ZGubbN6ZidE (absolutely hypnotic and gorgeous) They're artists who've taken ancient Norse runes & poems and brought them to life through music.
