Somewhere around half way through your mom asks if there are any Australian characters. There is one (Zappa), but the last game he was playable in was Guilty Gear XX Accent Core +R, and he only showed up in cutscenes in XRD. He is by far one of my favorite characters (gameplay wise atleast) and I HOPE they get added to strive

The Testament's theme's meaning goes even deper. They we're born as a man, but when they were killed they were forcibly resurrected into a gear becoming both male and female (in other words non-binary). Hence the interchangeable he and she in the lyrics After getting turned into a gear, Testament was under control and was made to do horrible acts, which they didnt want to do, but couldn't disobey. That's why when they regained their true self, they we're tormented by all the memories. So in the song "He" represents their life before becoming a gear and "she" the time they were under control Testament's theme is very emotional and beautiful, telling a story of coming to terms with and accepting themself and finding peace. Which is represented in the theme as "we are one of a chain". Really recommend relistening to it with all of this in mind

A month late and I hope this doesn’t come off as rude but I’ll try to clear up any lore questions/misremembered bits: Frederick was originally working on the gear project with (his later wife) Aria and their close mutual friend That Man (Asuka Kreutz). The original purpose of the project was to push humanity’s evolution to the next stage thanks to magic being introduced due to Y2K coming to pass. Aria fell sickly to an incurable disease and was put to cryosleep eventually in order for a cure to be found in the future. That Man would then forcibly turn Frederick into a gear by implanting the Flame of Corruption into him. Shocked by this turn of events, when Frederick confronted That Man he said that they were never friends and he had ran off (thanks to the help of the American military at the time who were interested in the gear project) with Aria’s cryosleeping body. Vowing revenge against That Man, Frederick began attacking military bases in order to track him down and was dubbed “Badguy”. He would also eventually be bestowed the name “Sol” by Slayer because his “passion shined as bright as the sun”. Sol is called the Guilty Gear because he is a gear who took a vow to destroy all other gears, a traitor to his own kind. He’s bestowed this name by Justice who was the first Command-type gear who could take control of all Gear except Sol ( he was the original prototype) because of his revenge against gears. Ky’s eye transplant did work for Sin, they swapped left eyes (Ky’s dragon instal comes from his left side and Sin keeps his right eye covered) because Sin can’t control his gear powers that come from his eyes so Ky swapped eyes with him so that Sin could see. Ky is the 1st king of Illyria which is a kingdom created from the remnants of Europe and is ruled together by 3 kings. The inscriptions by the holy order knights was inspired by Ky. During the Battle of Rome Ky was nearly killed as his entire platoon was killed by Gears. In honor of them he carved “Hope” on to his belt as only through Hope could humanity make it to the next day, Sol seeing this then carved “Free” into his Headband and it just took off from the there.
