For anyone wanting another useless fact here you go: Although Aleks Le is the English VA for Anji in strive in the credits the person listed as his VA is instead referred to as Caiman, there was no switch, I'm not sure why but Aleks just pulled a whole thing, he even made a post online well wishing Caiman well and thanking him for the role. Also Caiman is a reference to Aleks' role as the English VA of Kaiman in Dorohedoro.

Useless Strive glitch: If you hit an opponent with charged dust and then fast red Roman cancel into a punch normal (only hitting once or whiffing entirely) it rotates the opponent’s character model slightly towards the camera. If you do it again, nothing happens, but if you do it a third time, the character returns to normal. It doesn’t go away if the other character gets hit, but it does go away if they get grabbed. It’s really weird. Also, there is something very cursed about slightly front facing Potemkin.

OKAY SO there’s a reason UMA isn’t included. It’s because it’s the Japanese term for a “cryptid” and stands for "Unidentified Mysterious Animal". However this doesn’t completely explain A: Why they didn’t just localize this to “cryptid” which is again the equivalent term that would make sense to English speakers And B: The fact that it having a GG world entry would make perfect sense given that there’s an entry for the concept of an organization and information about wealth distribution.

More random trivia: Everyone knows that Jack'O is a reference to the band Helloween, however it isn't just her design, but also her lore that connects to the band. Specifically their song Dr. Stein is about a mad scientist (That Man) who makes funny creatures (Gears) and cloned his assistant (Aria whom Jack'O and the other Valentines are based on). IMO it lines up too well to be a coincidence.

Something that’s not hardly brought up anywhere in the guilty gear lore is the the guy who killed Chipps master Tsuyoshi. In Guilty Gear X The Butterfly and Her Gale novel, it’s a guy named Volf from the assassins guild who is said to kill his master. I wish it was brought up more because before I found out, I always assumed it was Zato or Millia. I had to guess because I could only assume it had to be someone strong, but I didn’t really like those ideas. It always says “the assassins guild killed Tsuyoshi”, but I didn’t like the idea that he could be killed easily by random assassins. Volf dies in the novel, so that whole plot just ends there.

Who wants more Slayer trivia? No? Too bad. Slayer has 2 things. One, his design is based off Giant Robo's Alberto. The most frequent villain. And 2, he has a Dandy Punch mix-up called BIG BANG PUNCH! Which is likely based off the ultimate move of one of the characters and is used as a major plot point in the OVA of Giant Robo. What IS Giant Robo? Giant Robo is an OVA made way back then, super influential but not very popular, but NOBODY nowadays seems to know about it. It's really good and combines multiple manga and anime characters into one coherent world all in honor of their respective authors to a point you can't even notice the characters are from elsewhere. It's all on youtube watch it.
