I'm now commenting on a lot of your bid but it kind of feels like I'm joining a conversation ( you talk to the camera it feels like u talk to me ;)) so I just have to say that your mum seems like a lovely, open person, kind and sweet and believing she did everything she had to to give you ( and your siblings) a good start and you spread your wings. But I also believe that parents who have more than one child it's kind of easier for them to let children leave the nest. I think.

It needs a strong, supportive mum, to encourage kids to not only leave home, but to leave it and settle in another country. It’s this feeling of being unconditionally loved, and supported, even when you are thousands of miles away. I especially loved to hear she worked/still work with children. She obviously did an excellent job on her own kids.

What a wonderful woman your mum is. You're really blessed with her. This is what love is about. To be happy if your beloved ones are happy. And to be interested in their lives. I mean really interested and not for the reason to judge. And how reflected you both are. It is amazing. It is so much better to have such intense quality time rather than living close to each other and take it for granted. But seeing what a warm and supportive woman she is, I totally get how hard it must be sometimes to live so far away from her. What a beautiful woman, inside and out. You've got good genes ;-) Love this video! Thank you for sharing this with us.

Reserved, private, orderly, and completely honest. I think it's genetic. I was the first Canadian child of German immigrants. One could argue these traits are mine because of the influence of German parents. But I see them sooo strongly in my daughter as well. One of my earliest memories is of my mother, writing letters to her mom back in Germany, on the tissue-thin blue airmail paper. And the letters that would come from my Oma on the same blue paper. Even mail was "expensive" back then, so tissue-thin paper weighed less and cost less to post. How lucky we are today with the technology to bridge the distance

You have wonderful mom. So glad you shared this video. This reminds me of my daughter and me. She moved to Germany 5 years ago for love. Fortunately for her, she speaks German perfectly because I'm German living in the US for the past 30 years. Interestingly, she still had similar struggles regarding cultural differences that you had. The good part is that I can relate to her experiences since I went through the same thing many years ago. And your mother is so right when she says that the technology today is amazing and helping to keep in touch especially with the grandchildren.

Give her a hug and a big kiss from me, and when you want to show her Germany then visit our Rhineland-Palatinate region, wich is similar to franconia with the wine, veggies and palatinate- woods areas. We are close to France, so you can make a visit to the Alsace and show her another country ! Both my parents (Italians) left their regions to settle down 1000 km away from their homes, in Tuscany where, I grew up. I live in Austria now. My daughter had a French boyfriend and stayed in France for a while and I did feel the distance. Now she is back and lives in the same town as me but even if I don't see her very often, I know I could meet her any time. That's quite a different feeling.

The German in "movies" is often not real. I'm a native speaker and I can definitely tell, sometimes they have Scandinavian actors or whatever pretending to speak German and it's just gibberish. Or people completely overpronounce everything. You can make any language sound harsh.
@TheDan84dj
@TheDan84dj 4 жыл бұрын
A lot of people think that it sounds harsh because in German we use a lot of "ch" and "sch" sounds, that many would consider harsh or bad. Even nice things like "I love you!" (Ich liebe dich!) has 2x "ch" in it.

@@oOalexandraOo Dann könnten wir auch deutsch schnacken? Aber ich lass' es mal beim Englischen: sometimes you gotta stand your ground. Draw a red line. A friend of mine is struggling with depression. Intelligent. A great person to meet. Worked his way up from a certified car mechanic to a contoller in a global player company. Any reason to be proud about himself. But that's not the point, when it comes to depressions. (I had my fair share of it. Plus this will never go away completely.) He's under constant medication. For many years, now. He broke with his father, when, while trying to explain himself, recieved as an answer: " Pull yourself together. I'm in an angry mood from time to time, too!" What a great mother-daughter relationship you have. Honestly, I didn't have a closeness with my mum. To see a mum's care like this, I have never witnessed before. My mum wanted her kids to live close to her, almost smothering as though she regarded us as infants even though we were adults. My mum was overprotective, so you can be very lucky to have this kind of support for development and independence, and unselfish love. My mum passed away in July, and only now can she understand me. I have forgiven her for not giving me the support I needed. She did the best she could at the time. She had a hard life.

What a sweet mom you have. Although I am a tall Austrian bloke, bearded and wild, it really touched me listening to both of you and seeing tears in your eyes. Thank you for sharing this lovely video. :o)

That‘s the sweetest Video you‘ve eher done. I can unterstand that you‘ve become emotional because of what your mum said. My mum and I are as close as you and your mum. I can‘t even imagine to live so far away from her. Your relationship between each other is just adorable

Zwei so tolle, warmherzige Frauen!

Maree is such a treasure! She brings tears to my eyes talking about how happy she is for all her children to have found love, even though that has meant they have moved all over the world! You are such a lucky woman to have such a gem of a mother =)

What a lovely lady! Seems like your mom sees life in the correct way...it's such a shame that all her kids are spread around the world, but looking at the full half of the cup - she gets to travel a lot 😉

Your mom obviously did a lot right with raising you, Antoinette. Both of you are so sweet and kind. I can see where you got it from. Oooh, and I can't see a woman cry. Even if you are happy about having your mom with you. Here's a huge hug for you.

I really enjoy your way of treating life. Could you please make a video how your parents raised you? I see your mom says you should be grateful, you should embrace... she doesn't wait for children to live next door and owe anything to her... How to become as you and your mom? What are your life principles? Thank you for your channel :)
