My Musk Fragrances | Which is Best?

I received my KAYALI package yesterday! The musk is still my favorite. I still love the Vanilla. I’m not sure about deja vu yet. I sprayed a little after a nice hot shower and my fiancé loves it! And.....he is not a scent kinda guy. To all of the other subscribers I can attest to the KAYALI Musk. It smells so gorgeous!

i agree! I ABSOLUTELY LOVED it, but i had to discover that Musc and Vanilla do change as time goes by. I have the bottles for a year now and they both smell different in a bad way. I m a little bit disappointed. I kept them in a temperatur normal place away from light so i do not understand this 😔

I love SJP Lovely. I got the anniversary edition (KZbin recommended) and it is stronger and I love it. Noa by Cacharel is my favorite musk and also affordable. Narciso Poudree is heavenly🥰. Pure Musk by Narciso I use to layer with any of the above mentioned.

This was extremely helpful. I love some perfumes with musk and hate others. This helped clear it up. Also explains why when I reordered SJP Lovely that I was shocked. I didn't realize I needed to reorder SJP Born Lovely instead. They are totally different.

I appreciate this video because I usually dislike musk and can detect it right away if it's in a fragrance and then it's all I smell. Kind of like patchouli 😬 just ordered kayali musk though so fingers crossed

As you explained in this video, maybe that is the issue I'm having with lovely - it's not mass pleasing and not that it maybe a fake. When I watched the many reviews, I only got positive comments abt the fragrance and everyone was saying it matches its name and sadly that wasn't what I got.

You made me revisit Kayali Musk from my discovery set, Im so not a musk or powdery person I think a relative of mine ruined it for me and it reminds me of hugging my aunt or some family party where they all wore musk or powdery scents. But I got to say I ended up with a full bottle of Musk 12 and layer it very often I really enjoy it My man does think it smells like old relatives but Ill change his mind 😂

For me for the musk, Narciso is the better perfume's maker. Poudré, in french means powderie, so it's normal that it's smell like a bit of powder

No, in my opinion it doesnt. The rouge is a bit more heavy and deep, thicker smelling. The musk is lighter and more skin-like. But I suppose theyr'e on the same vein due to both being floral-musks with a touch of vanilla/tonka :)

I have debated on getting either CLEAN or Ariana Grande REM. Can I get your input? I want a musk that has decent performance and is your skin but better scent. Like if someone were to smell it they would wonder if it was a perfume or just my natural scent.

Clean has better performance and is more unisex and smells less like a perfume, but REM is more feminine and sort of sexier in my opinion, and smells more perfumey. For work I would pick Clean, for cuddling I'd pick REM. Hope that helps!

Question, is the square white bottle narciso (same shape as the Poudre) also a bit powdery? I love musk but I'm not super into powder so I'm trying to figure it out

That one is more cedar-y. It’s really musk and cedar but it becomes somewhat skin-like and subtly sweet if that makes sense! They’re both lovely, I just like the Poudree better personally:)

@@hidexxseek I own all of the Narciso cubes (even the clear capped EDT versions), and they are all quite powdery smelling to my nose. Poudree is the only one worth owning, imho. I'm a collector, so ya know lol 🤷

If you want another beautiful musk you could try Idylle from Guerlain or The Body Shop White musk, the last one is the most clean musk You will ever try

I really wish i could enjoy musk like other people. Unfortunately it does not agree with my body chemistry at all. It gets too animalic, like dead and rotten animal kind of way. Whenever i put perfume with musk in it, it smells like me trying to conceal a bad body odor with perfume. It's that bad. Wonder if anyone has similar reaction to musk.

Trish Mcevoy snowdrop and crystal flowers is my favorite musk. I layer it over her 9 body lotion and it pretty much lasts all day.

I would really love to try the Kayali musc! It sounds delicious! Im actually between this or Kayali Vanilla. I’m just worried about the longevity as I’ve heard that Kayali perfumes don’t last... I also wonder how close it is to Narciso Rodriguez pure musc which I own and love.

I find the longevity is not bad - best with the Vanilla, which lasts me all day on skin and clothing, between 7-10 hours depending. The Musk is about 4-5 hours, citrus 3 hours or so. :)

SJP Lovely is a beautiful scent. It's one of my work or casual fragrances. I do get compliments on it from men because I think it pairs well with my skin. However, I have to layer it because it's not a beast. I get about 5 hours when I do but it is as it describes a LOVELY perfume. I have smelled the CLEAN one and it's nice but not what would be drawn to. I am ordering the KAYALI because of all the reviews and i can't wait. Love you Chanel as well. It's very calming and i love your consistency. 💝

I don’t get much patchouli at all in it!:) I just get a subtly vanilla powdery musk with cedar undertoned:) it’s gorgeous!

You’ve got to try Over the Musk by Mugler (the Les Exeptions line). It’s divine and smells like clean but sexy skin, if that makes any sense lol
